Frag Verified Member Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Shanahan is the only person who looks good in those emails. He sounds like a professional and rational man in the way he told the league to reduce fighting.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 The grammar on this board is better than most of those emails...
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Every time I think the NHL has reached rock bottom it breaks through that floor and hits another level. What an embarrassing mickey mouse league.

Goodell's coming on strong but he doesnt have the experience necessary yet. Plus Bettmans probably got many more lockouts left in him. when in doubt, lock 'em out
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 How lame are the playoffs shaping up this year? No Canadian team, Chicago vs Washington final already booked.
Frag Verified Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Leafs secure their second 1st round pick... I mean, the Pens secure a playoff spot!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Leafs secure their second 1st round pick... I mean, the Pens secure a playoff spot! Now it's time to cheer for the Pens to lose the rest of their regular season games and get knocked out in the first round.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Stamer out 4-12 weeks with a blood clot. Eeekkkkk....... The Lightning are f***ed.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 So who misses the playoffs... Boston/Detroit or Philadelphia? Philly has a game in hand... and the Bruins are struggling, I say the Bears come up short, especially if the Wings beat the Bears tonight.
JG34 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 One more regulation loss for the Leafs guarantees them picking in the 1-4 range depending how the lottery goes.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 One more regulation loss for the Leafs guarantees them picking in the 1-4 range depending how the lottery goes. Easy peasy, we'll lose to the Flyers tonight and Jersey Saturday, both on the road.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Ya'll from the 6 still hate Boston right? Well here is to my Redwings hopefully beating them tonight and clinching their 25th straight playoff appearance. LGRW!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Bruins need the Flyers to lose their next 2 games, they're up 2-1 on the Penguins.

JG34 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Leafs have the best odds of landing the number one pick this draft!
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Leafs have the best odds of landing the number one pick this draft! It's Edmonton's destiny though
JG34 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It's Edmonton's destiny though The fix is in for Arizona. Mathews is a local boy and it's a struggling franchise.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 The fix is in for Arizona. Mathews is a local boy and it's a struggling franchise. Fold the Coyotes. Send Matthews to Buffalo and let him and Eichel REALLY save a franchise. The New Penguins!

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Yay Leafs, please let us win something good.
Nafro Verified Member Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I think the Leafs should pull a Dodgers and trade for Datsyuk's final year of his contract. Take the salary and cap hit and acquire a couple assets (one draft pick and one or two prospects) for taking on the contract.

Someone will probably willingly take on his $7.5M cap hit / non-salary in order to meet the floor. I doubt there's any opportunity to get assets.
Frag Verified Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Kadri and Rielly both signed 6-year deals worth $4.5M AAV & $5.0M AAV, respectively. That was fast!
