The announcers in the Van-Ana game:

... you should do the anthem.

I'd be the male version of Roseanne Barr.

That's redundant, isn't it?

For anyone not getting some of the reference to the anthem,

Yer Dumn!

The Leafs are dumb. And the fans that pay $200 for a ticket and sellout the ACC everynight night are the dumbest. They give out ridiculous contracts to Phaneuf and signing David Clarkson to that massive deal was a huge mistake. They won't have much cap room to add anything significant this summer.

Hah......the fans spoke, the ownership listened. I wonder if Torts goes? You'd think he'd have been cut loose at the same time if it were their plan.

They'd probably let the new GM decide, or they think that keeping Torts in there another 3 games will improve the Canucks draft position :o

I really question how much further leaf nation can go with this shame, I've seen a huge change just with the circle of friends and family. So many diehard fans like 5 years ago and now they just don't care. Leaf games still sellout with many still wanting to get their chance when they couldn't before. I know so many people that have turned down tickets/sold them this year.

If they suck next year, it will really be interesting.

Every move the leafs made this year has been golden. I am going to viciously attack anyone who thinks otherwise like the clueless dipshit I am.

It's the Toronto Maple Leafs man. They will never have problems drawing crowds to the games. If one guy stops going, another guy will take his place and so on. Everyone that's upset or pissed right now will come running back like sheep if they have any modicum of success in the future. Even if they continue to flounder and show no signs of improvement, they will still sell out their games. Nothing will change.

That's the thing though, over the last 15 years I've been a fan, everyone has been pissed off but then come season opener, they are just as excited again. The last few years I've noticed this change, half of the once "diehard" fans I knew don't even care (and didn't care this season, even with the leafs winning early). Of course when the Leafs do start getting their s*** together all those fans will come back but if that is not any time soon, we are going to see changes in a few years. There will always be fans, but not at the same level, outside of the arena.

For years I enjoyed watching the Leafs struggle and miss the playoffs. After last year I thought those salad days were over.

The hockey gods truly are good.

I was hoping that they would get officially eliminated on the last day. That would make it Nicer. We Winnipeggers don't have much to cheer about in the NHL world so this would have to do lol.

Honestly, pretty much anyone is a huge upgrade over Nonis. Shanahan can't possibly be Nonis-bad, right? Right?

Holy f***, what an amazing (but lucky) save by Fleury in the shootout out vs. Detroit (on Alfie). That was straight-up Hasekian.

Fleury = best shootout goalie of the last 4 years, I believe (haven't fact-checked - just a factoid I heard a little earlier this season on a Penguins' telecast).
