Kadri: Where are you 90% of nights? You are getting misused by the coach sure but honestly learn to chip and chase so Clarkson can forecheck. Kadri's effort is noticeably low. I loved this guy for so long but right now I would be happy to deal him in a package to bring in someone like Wayne Simmonds

These "Leaf fans" on hfboards want to run Kadri and Gardiner out of town lol.

And just like the jays... i'm sick of the team only 2 months in lol

Lets go blue jays again!

All Toronto sports teams have incompetent F.O.

Well I don't follow the Raptors, but it seems like it.

I'm embarrassed for them. Kadri is one of the only one I notice doing anything on offense besides the top line.

"Toronto media is reporting that the Toronto Maple #Leafs are not interested in trading D Jake Gardiner. However according to #TSN's insider Darren Dreger reports that the #Islanders, #Flames and #Hurricanes have shown interest. The asking price for Gardiner is a top-six forward."

From the Leafs' facebook rumors page. Sounds about right. Flames don't have anything I'd like, Islanders nothing beyond Tavares/package involving Strome, Hurricanes could be interesting. Don't want to move Gardy though.

Flames would probably give up Cammalleri for Gardiner. I don't know enough about the leafs to know if he would be a fit, but he's an expiring contract so even if the trade went bad he wouldn't be a cap sinkhole. Flames could really use a d-man right now too with both Wideman and giordano out with injuries

I don't know why they want to trade Gardiner though, seems to me he would be a better option than Paul Ranger.

Phil Kessel left practice early with an unspecified injury, and coach Randy Carlyle said he wasn’t sure if the star winger would be able to play Thursday night against the Dallas Stars.

I've been looking back at the 2003 draft (and I'll be looking at others later) to examine scouting reports of ALL prospects in the first 2 rounds at that time. Two things I noticed:

1) Not so surprising, many European prospects were seen as lacking character, while many North American prospects were seen as team leaders.

2) Some players scouts missed BADLY in judging the size of prospects at the time of the draft. I think many got caught up with height or weight, but had trouble combining the two in a reasonable manner. Surprising, considering BMI exists. Two extreme examples of these errors were Dustin Brown and Hugh Jessiman. The average BMI (calculated using height and weight measurements measured at the time) in the first round was 25.6. Dustin Brown, whom scouts were concerned about how his size may increase his chance of injury as a result of his aggressive playing style, had a BMI at the time of... 26.4! Now, on the other side of the table, we've got Hugh Jessiman, who was praised by scouts for his size. His BMI came in at... 24.3!

Reilly a healthy scratch again? I guess they'll let him play in the WJHC.

-3 last game, but the way the leafs have played, nobody deserves to play lol

Please fire this clown Carlyle. How is it possible to get outwork, outshot and out hustled every single game. They've been outshot a lot, but its not only that, they've been outshot by huge margins over and over.
