Convo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Sorry if posted. Chase Utley hits a ball to the ivy wall in Wrigley and a second ball pops out into play. Pretty funny. http://wapc.mlb.com/cutfour/2013/08/30/59024796/chase-utley-hits-triple-into-wrigley-ivy-two-balls-come-out LOL. The Ivy Wall does not conform to the universe's laws.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 David Cooper opts out of his deal with the Indians. .800 OPS floor ftw.
digiblader Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Yanks win again. Tampa better have a good West Coast road trip--NY and Cleveland are on their tail, but Baltimore continues to struggle.
Convo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Would just like to point out that Marco Scutaro is a freak. Lowest o-swing% in the league at 19.8%, highest contact rate at 95.5%, highest z-contact at 97.7%. The 95.5% contact rate is the highest since the data has been available (2003). Second place is 2012 Scutaro at 95.3%. Even freakier is he only has 27 ribeyes. And he's only slugging.367.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Red Sox acquire Johnny Mac This is not okay by any means

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 How many teams has John MacDonald belonged to in the last 3 years??? Holy crap.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I just counted. 6 teams since 2011. That's crazy.

BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Wily Canate I remember a walk off homerun he hit against KC in the ninth in 1993. Right over the Kansas City Royals sign.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 A's sweep the Rays. Woot!!!
digiblader Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Getting interesting--Yankees, Cleveland and Baltimore are within 3.5 games of sinking Tampa. And if Tampa struggles this week, Cleveland, Baltimore or NY will be in the 2nd wild card by week's end--Yanks have White Sox, and BAL and CLE are guaranteed to see gains as they're playing each other. Not mentioned in the race is Texas--they play a series vs. Oakland, a battle for 1st in the West. Royals are still in as well--5.5 back.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 They're talking about d'Arnaud's pitch framing ability on Sunday night baseball. I feel like crying...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 They're talking about d'Arnaud's pitch framing ability on Sunday night baseball. I feel like crying... I want to watch a couple of Mets games to see him.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 They're talking about d'Arnaud's pitch framing ability on Sunday night baseball. I feel like crying... But dude. He won't get 50 R. b. eyes so no way he can be a top 10 katcher.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Already up This brought back some earlier memories. I remember Jeff f***ing Frye hitting for the cycle in 2001 like it was yesterday. I looked at an article from that game, and apparently Darren Oliver pitched in that game (Rangers starting pitcher Darren Oliver gave up nine hits and six earned runs in 5 1/3 innings) lol. That was 12 years ago!!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 Red Sox DFA Daniel Bard. JaysJournal thinks it'd be a good idea to take a flier on him. Idk, I'd rather the recently DFA'd Mark Rogers.
