  1. Seriously, Rogers 37m or Suarez 45m? Atkins probably tried to sign Suarez at discount, this didn't worked, and in panic he overpaid for Rogers. We f***ing still need a #1 closer, no Swanson replacement
  2. Maybe Mason Miller can be avalaible if Jays offering good prospect. Something like King, Nimmala and Fischer or Tidermann
  3. I dont think so. To beat Skubal, Yamamoto, Ohtani and Snell, will be almost impossible, unless you also have a boosted team.
  4. Bullpen is no fine, we need a #1 closer. And we need add Tucker too. Otherwise Tucker will sign with the Dodgers, so no need sign Bellinger if Dodgers get Skubal and Tucker.
  5. Atkins should quickly agree if Tucker want 400m for 12 years. Dodgers try get ride of their garbage players Teoscar and Glasnow to sign Tucker and acquire Skubal. Other teams need stop to help Dodgers.
  6. I am not. We didn't replaced Anthony, because Yimi will replace Rodriguez, and we all know that Hoffman isn't a #1 closer. he failed with the Phillies, he cost us a world series. So we need a premium closer and someone to replace Anthony.
  7. Should tell this to JS. Hope he's cured from his addiction to over use relievers. Otherwise be prepared to see Varland, Yimi, Little, Hoffman very often, too much often in some case:XD
  8. Depend of the offer, let's say Atkins offering Fischer, Nimmala and King, maybe this can be enough
  9. I doubt Yimi will be good this year, I am afraid he will be our 2026 Chad Green. So the only reliable relievers for the last innings we have are Hoffman and Varland. Little, Rodriguez, Fischer, Flu, remain gambling, they will need to prove themselves again.
  10. I doubt Fairbanks get less than 10m annually, because the market for good reliever is low now. Why no trade for Hader? Houston no serious contender this year, so they will want rebuild.
  11. A decent reliever like Fairbanks will cost around 10m annualy, a premium like Suarez 15m. So do this worth it to save 5m to sign someone like Brad Keller? The problem jays have is the 9 inning, no 6-8. We have the guys to pitch the 6-8 innings, but to close the game, we don't have someone 100% reliable.
  12. 15-20 m annually is now the price for a premium closer. Atkins should have paid that price for a #1 closer. It's more easy find reliever like Varland, Anthony, Garcia at trade deadline, but very difficult get guys like Suarez, Diaz. If the Dodgers agreed pay 69m for Diaz it's because they understand that. Atkins probably value quantity over premium reliever, so he will probably sign Fairbanks (Hoffman2.0) or another arm like Rodgers or bring back Ser Anthony. Better sign Imai ( 99.99% sure Bieber will end up on injury list before allstar game in 2026) with that money, instead of a below average reliever. They are rumor about Jays signing Tucker and keep Bichette, so we will have guys and prospect to trade for a good reliever in such case.
  13. And he will laugh saying good luck if you think Hoffman can do the job. Diaz just signed for 23m annualy with the Dodgers, and the Mets signed Williams 3 years for 51m. So Suarez at 18-20 annualy worth it. It's better invest in good closer, than spend the same amount on reliever like Hoffman and Fairbanks or other cheaper options.
  14. What will cost for Suarez. Mets, Seattle and Yankees can target him too.
  15. Red Sox have cheap owner, so they wont overpaid for Suarez, they already have a closer. But about Bichette, they will probably sign him, but lose Bregman. Anyway, I prefer Tucker, coz on the long term he will be more usefull. He have good def, can hit 25+ HR and he's more fast than Bichette.
  16. Yep, something like 3 years 60m
  17. I'm talking about the best closer avalaible since Diaz signed with the Dodgers. I guess signing former Padres star players is a good idea, because they had rivalty with the Dodgers, and would likely sign with the Jays.
  18. Atkins should sign Suarez, no matter how much this cost. Forgot Fairbanks or giving another chance to Hoffman and think our bullpens will be ok
  19. Garcia he's injury prone and can end up like Green or Swanson after missing so many games. Little make opponent happy to see him , especially in the last innings, when everything same lost, but Little step in to make other's believe they can come back and win the game.
  20. Even if Marte a very good player, will be a bad move to give all our best prospects for him. I won't include Parker for him. But a trade will likely look like Parker + King + Barger, and jays will be fleeced if do that. Better pay 200m contract to Bichette than empty the farms. for Marte. If we empty the farms, should be for Skubal or Sknenes
  21. Maybe he still injured? I can't believe no teams was interested to trade for him if he's healthy.
  22. I don't understand this move, because Rodriguez wasn't bad , he was one of our best relievers with Fischer, when Swanson and Green was awful. I have more confidence in Rodriguez than guys like Garcia, Little, Francis.
  23. Varsho will be back for sure, and probably Springer and Bieber too. But Gausman, Lauer, Garcia no. Straw, this will depend if he agree for a smaller salary, and if we signed Tucker. Ideally Atkins should trade Berrios and Santander, even if this won't be easy, except if they are included with good prospects like King, Nimmala and few others in a blockbuster trade for someone like Fernando Tatis.
  24. No for 10 millions difference, but if Jays offer 10/300, and Pittsburgh 12/330, Pirates will get him.
  25. Maybe Ohtani ex interpreter steal it and will try sell it, as a valuable collector item😄
