    Seems like the Jays are out on Corbin Burnes. Looks like it's Giants vs Red Sox even after they got Crochet, per Boras himself? (via Nightengale). If the rumours of Bregman signing with the Yankees end up being true, Santander and Teo will be the only budget raising free agents left.

    Cashman did the same thing yesterday bailing on a MLB Tonight appearance, then the Yankees signed Max Fried. Red Sox are about to make a move. They've been in Burnes rumours, and also trade rumours involving Cease and Crochet.

    Rosenthal says Burnes decision could come as early as today. Jays, Giants, Orioles and Red Sox still involved. Recent leaves are definitely pointing to the Red Sox though.

    I agree, I was going to post this tweet too. When a player's market isn't going their way that's Atkins' bat signal. What's also a bit interesting is, I'm pretty sure Vladdy and Alonso have the same agent. If Atkins swoops in like a hero and saves Alonso's non-existent market (according to Passan), maybe that could help the Jays with Vladdy's negotiation wink wink.

    Andres Gimenez CBT hit with the Jays will be $19.3M. The number that was previously making the rounds was $15.2M AAVV But I think there was an AAV adjustment resulting from the trade. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

    Shi Davidi thinks a reunion with Teoscar would qualify as a similar type of acquisition to Fried/Burnes/Santander/Bregman, where landing 1 or more of them could allow them to escalate their internal budget by up to $20M, from the CBT threshold of $241M, to the 2nd CBT threshold of $261M. He also thinks their final offer on Soto might have been significantly under $700M.
