    Honestly I really like that they clinched the wild card right before an off day. Now there's no risk of an off-game the day after post-clinch celebrations. Magic number is now at 4, so we just have to take care of business at home (win both series) and we don't even have to scoreboard watch the Yankees.

    Yeah they still have a couple other guys they can toss on the 60-day IL and get injury exemptions for the guys who take their 40-man spots. Even after placing Robinson Pina on the 60-day for Borucki, they still have Jake Bloss and probably Leo Jimenez too (been on the minor league IL with an undisclosed injury since early August like Pina).

    IKF and Dillon Tate are the September 1st roster additions per the team.

    Ernie Clement himself is the one who's already been cannibalizing playing time for other more deserving players against RHP all season. If IKF is the one who finally convinces John Schneider to stop trotting Ernie's 66 wRC+ vs. RHP out there every day, that's likely a good thing. Also when IKF and Ernie were both here last season IKF got more playing time, at 3B and in general. Otherwise we'll just have to wait until Santander gets back for Ernie to get displaced.

    If I'm understanding what you just said correctly, it seems he can still be postseason eligible if they call him up today and the corresponding 40-man move is putting Sandlin on the 60-day IL?
