    I could see it. In sports if you build a team with the hopes of winning by playing a solid defensive game you better actually be winning because if not it's often a terrible product to watch. Do you want to watch outfielders turn every fly ball into a routine catch or do you want to watch 'em sock some dingers?

    Not sure how in 2024 you could ever have Kirk batting 4th but at least Clement has forced his way into the everyday lineup.

    I mean we are all guessing here and can never know for sure what's going on. Martinez has been the hitting coach since 2018 and it could be time for a change anyways. The average length of tenure for active MLB hitting coaches is about 2.4 years.
