100%. Too much reliance with that stupid IPad. I mentioned it last season, Chapman was the prime example of a guy who relied to much in constantly tweaking his approach based on what he see from that stupid IPad. old school hitters were more about the feel for the game.

Congrats to Blanco. We don’t want to deprive him of an outstanding performance. But for a “spot” pitcher with only two reliable weapon, a slider heavy and a fastball….then a developing splitter, Guillermo Martinez, his hitters were so ill-prepared. No in-game adjustments and just piss poor execution in the box. Another half-ass offseason move by Ross Atkins….rid of his hitting strategist but left the hitting coach carrying the same award winning vision. Love it.

I am rooting for Blanco to get a no-no maybe just maybe, this is the moment Atkins ship Guillermo Martinez somewhere that teaching the basics of hitting is not part of the job description

I felt bad for Varsho, he looked totally lost out there offensively. Not his fault that Atkins didnÂ’t realized before he acquired him, that it is a two sided page metrics and he only read the one page. Hovering around a buck fifty right now in BA posting zeroes across the board. The good thing, nothing but upwards for him until he reaches his career average. Lol

They got him for his defense. He is the epitome of a “one trick pony” But it is an unforgivable sin to have him bat in a crucial spot. 8th-9th spot is where they should slot him in. But Schneider is a company man. Atkins will have to desperately justify his brain fart offseason move a season ago.

Varsho in the middle of the batting order is blasphemy. Unbelievable.

The only saving grace to their shame namely Ross Atkins and those who stupidly defended this trade is for Moreno and Gurriel to suffer career ending injuries then Varsho in some parallel universe will be in the running for MVP in the next season or two.

My personal congratulations to Gurriel and Moreno as former Blue Jays represting their current team D-Backs vs. Marcus Semien another former Blue Jay representing the Rangers. I wished they were still with the Jays.

I am so happy for Lourdes Gurriel and Gabby Moreno. The ones who criticized hard this idiotic trade and could be up there as one of the worse in Blue Jays History, true vindication to all of us. I fully remembered how it was blasphemy in the eyes of the “so called self-proclaimed/ know it all” experts of this forum when regret of the Gurriel or Moreno loss were even mentioned and Varsho’s name as trash. We were trolled hard and threatened to be banned or at a minimum place on their ignore or IR list. They know who they are. To Ross Atkins - f*** you idiot !

I really wanted to move on from this trade but watching Moreno smothered that ball, I wanted to kick the living daylights of Ross Idiot Atkins.

Cannot cry over spilled milk anymore, what has been done was already done. Atkins overreliance to his analytic spreadsheet with no common baseball sense was the reason of this failed trade. I cannot blame though the people rehashing this after watching Moreno obliterated Kershaw in game 1. Gurriel was no slouch either. Moving forward, the best recourse is to fire Ross Atkins. If they keep Varsho, move him to CF and let him bat 9th, nothing higher than that. But they have to find a way better alternative with consistent power bat who they can plug in behind Vladdy as protection. Ross Atkins has failed to address that and Chapman who they tried early in the season batting clean up was a major disappointment. They also have to find a better catcher, Kirk has some issues more of his weight and he is definitely unreliable offensively. I liked Danny but the guy is made of glass or maybe just unfortunate to get plagued with this freak injuries most likely of how he exposes his wrist when he bats. Bottomline fire Atkins and go from there. Take Martinez and Hudgens with him.

Ross Atkins should have some decency to step down. Nothing to show for the past 8 season. Shameless Lying Ahole
