Well done pitch calling by Danny with Manoah very receptive to his catcher. Good decision by JS to move Danny to hit clean up behind Vladdy. Then Varsho last to hit.

It is fair and arguable but Danny calling the right pitches would overrule whatever advantage Kirk has over him if there is any. Danny communicates well with the pitchers Rutschman is the best young pitcher with great leadership skills and excellent rapport with his pitchers.

I also think that Danny should be the dedicated catcher for Manoah. Less Kirk as catcher for all pitchers as much as possible

Giving credit where credit is due… John Schneider changing the lineup today with Danny hitting clean up behind Vladdy. Then no pressure spot for Varsho hitting 9th (last HR was back in June). Now we wait for the next one.

I really liked this JS move to put Danny Jansen behind Vladdy. Hopefully this is a major turnaround. But the icing on the cake is Varsho hitting 9th. Good stuff !

110 games into the season and still a bottom feeder with RISP, the window of hope is closing in. This team if they get lucky to get the WC spot will be facing the Ace of the opposing team and not the 5th starter of the rotation, tough situation. LetÂ’s be honest here, We have a number of players in that batting line up that we just dont trust to bring in runs when it matters most.

The struggles of Vladdy is obviously correlated with zero protection behind him. Schneider can do so much of what he have. Tried all season long to find the right fit by plugging in different players.
