  1. Keith Law released his mid-season top 60. Jays 0 Arjun got an honorable mention
  2. How many GM's last after going through 3 field managers in 8 seasons? that's a new manager every 2.5 seasons I'd fire Atkins before firing Schneider - which is a totally different conversation
  3. Yes What young star would not want to go to that team, the moves to lock up his young stars. Strider said at the time of his deal, he wanted the security and he wanted to be in Atlanta - and they got it done.
  4. Don't hear alot of talk about the Mariners rotation - pretty much best in baseball Gaussman vs Gilbert should be a good one
  5. which is funny because he did earlier
  6. not this version, he's getting up there in age Every time they start Biggio or Espinal....it weakens the entire field
  7. How the hell did the base runners read that blooper?
  8. Schneider likes to over manage. Dumb move
  9. lol possibly, Bellinger is a well seasoned product of the Dodgers system so that might be difficult to do
  10. Yes. He would have replaced KK + Varsho + Belt
  11. different topic specifically I was answering your logic for Merrifield not stealing 3rd in that situation, with Snell on the mound and Espinal at the plate. I'd be pissed if he didn't attempt it.
  12. Interesting pick-up, we can use some flame throwers and he's been up-to 98mph but sits near 95/96
  13. Lefty on the mound, weak hitting righty at the plate, less than 2 outs, best base stealer on the team. It was the perfect scenario.
  14. for sure, it's not a deep position in the league so that would still be a good duo. Failing that I'd like to see Atkins try and make a deal for one. There are a few teams with multiple good young catchers, Mets, Dodgers, Astros come to mind
  15. I'm ok with it, Espinal got the assist by giving Sanchez a clear lane to gun him down at 3rd - otherwise he swipes it easily. Get your head in the game
  16. I haven't looked at it in that detail but what you say makes sense, framing / receiving skills don't really slump. Inconsistent playing time also hasn't helped
  17. Need to start challenging some of these players with a promotion to the majors, of course based on performance but also sometimes based on age
  18. Difficult to watch him struggle after what he did last season, I still think the bat is for real but he probably won't hit for power, above average on base numbers which is valuable from that position. and his receiving skills haven't slumped, called strikes below
  19. ..just watching the replay of the game now... Espinal with the assist on Sanchez throwing out Merrifield at 3rd
  20. "Mayza and the team’s pitching coaches sat down to create an offseason plan. The priority: create a better slider." (your bold and not mine) This is wonderful but every pitcher on every major league team sits down with their coaches to create an off season plan. This is like saying he came into camp "in the best shape ever". Still valuable and good he's working on improving, keep in mind Mayza's outings by leverage: 18 Low, 6 medium and 6 high I am intrigued by the Pitching Lab though and look forward to seeing what it can produce - the fact that they are modeling it after college ball is a good sign - it's what the Dodgers did to get their hitting development back on track a few years ago. Should have done this in 2016 - might have produced more major league talent by now.
