  1. The video review that takes 5 mins to check if a runner is out or safe at 2B - is exactly that difference. It makes a difference - everything makes a difference, pitcher slide step combined with catcher pop time combined with catcher throwing. It adds up. Catcher pop time is an important scouting grade for catchers
  2. he has a better pop time than Jansen
  3. Catcher pop times Moreno is 10th overall, Kirk in the 40's, Jansen 50's and Moreno leads the majors in throwouts
  4. Yes that's true but both Kirk and Jansen are near the bottom of the league in pop time
  5. Espinal pulling the s*** out of that ball way against the OF shift
  6. 3 field managers in 8 seasons? if Schneider goes Atkins has to
  7. Horwitz plays LF doesn't he? and aside from that if a prospect is pushing for a promotion especially with a bat like that you find a spot to play him
  8. cowards, all of them.
  9. Yankees converted Michael King to a starter, 5 innings today, 4 K's, 0 runs
  10. Just watching some of the highlights.......Spencer Horwitz has a bat, what a swing. Why did the Jays not bring him up earlier? even last season? That's the kind of bat you to test out at the major league level and see if he can stick. Stupid to leave him down for this long - he's going to be 26 in Nov.
  11. 3 threads talking about the same thing s***ing on 1 player, what fun
  12. Yes. They are finding out the hard way that progression is not linear and it's not easy going from being competitive to being dominant; Shapiro spoke on this a while ago, will be interesting to hear what he has to say after the season is over. Maybe missing the play-offs is better for this team long term - instead of teasing us again by squeking in
  13. well that's not the same as saying it's the easiest on the diamond
  14. Each position requires a different skill set and 1B is no different. The 1st basemen has the ball more than anyone on the diamond with the exception of the pitcher and the catcher.
  15. It is definitely not the easiest position on the diamond
  16. Horwitz probably pumped up for the FB and was primed for some good breaking pitches and that exactly what he got
  17. and he got 4 of them, yea pretty nasty sliders
  18. Horwitz got 4 straight sliders, tough one
  19. That's so dumb - Rivera's only job is to instruct a young player like Schneider the different scenarios of when to run or not
  20. You do not come home on that
  21. no reason to tag up on that with those arms and down by 2
