  1. Could probably get Jansen on a very team friendly deal as well.
  2. I seem to recall that the majority of Fangraphs writers picked us as AL East favourites in their pre-season predictions series several years in a row as well.
  3. Man I don’t wanna watch Stroman shove against us in an Orioles jersey that would just be wrong
  4. Or they didn’t like any of the free agent pitchers enough at the prices they were commanding and thought they were good enough to wait until the all star break to trade for controllable players from their loaded farm 🤔
  5. This isn’t unfair but you just KNOW there’s the same message on Orioles Hangout, just with “Orioles” replaced with “Blue Jays”. After all it’s not like we did anything for 20 years.
  6. Definitely not what you want to see. He needs to be more selective and wait for his pitch, a pitch he knows he can do damage on (and then not miss it). Easier said than done of course but yeah he needs to get it going.
  7. I’m simply confirming mr stangs question sorry spankster
  8. Yup. Hit 3 home runs in one game against the yanks and it was all downhill from there.
  9. Is it such a mic drop though? It’s great the Vlad hits like he did in 2021 on the road but at the end of the day his career average wRC+ sans his outlier 2021 is 120. Does slim Vlad have a better career? We will never know. But as of now he’s fat and underperforming so his fitness will always be in question until he can repeat 2021.
  10. Damn turns out giving up home runs is extremely bad. All jokes aside that is interesting. What’s the league average home run rate?
  11. He'll hit a home run at the skydome one day...
  12. Bass has been exceedingly mediocre his whole career really. We're really just arguing over which mediocre reliever is better when we should really be wondering why we have so many mediocre relievers anyway.
  13. I feel like you could say that about many series this year but that horrid divisional stretch probably takes the cake.
  14. This is why you don't roll the dice with a rookie manager when you need to win asap. I don't care if you were grooming him in the minors for years.
  15. Didn't realize we had so many Anthony "2.3 WAR over 524.2 IP" Bass super fans on here.
  16. Imagine having access to some of the most advanced facilities on the planet surrounded by people who are literally employed to keep you in shape and this happens. It’s a shame.
  17. Wtf he gained like 80 lbs. The blue jays are the most body positive team in the league and I kind of hate it. Manoah Vlad and Kirk should all go to fat camp this winter.
  18. Honestly his Savant page looks pretty similar in 2023 compared to 2022. Actually 2023, 2022, and 2021 all look fairly similar but his chase rate was better in 2021. I don’t know what to think.
  19. Manoah has been optioned to the Florida complex league.
  20. I know it would never happen but I was kind of hoping for Vlad for Corbin over the winter.
  21. It's frustrating because he has all the tools and talent in, but he just hasn't put it together (aside from 2021). He's looking like worst out of the bunch of young superstars in the league right now (Tatis, Acuna, Soto, Bichette, Alvarez, etc). Which kinda sucks when he was the best prospect out of all of them.
  22. I was hoping this would be the big "Aha!" moment but it must be something else. But I definitely still think it's mental. Can't be a coincidence that as soon as the ink is dry on his contract and people have expectations for him that he turns into a pumpkin. Maybe he's feeling the same kind of pressure he did in his rookie year when he posted an 8.02 ERA?
  23. Looks like Berrios hit two players during spring training 2022: Didi Gregorius and Kyle Schwarber. Doesn't look like either of them were major but Didi did have an elbow injury bothering him in 2021 and he sucked in 2022 but I don't think that would cause Berrios to become scared to nibble corners. He did also hit Kole Calhoun in his dreadful home opening performance last year.
