  1. I turned it over to the Hawks game for a second. What happened?
  2. Any post season idea that includes Biggio was a full time starter is a bad one in my opinion.
  3. I mean I use yahoo with 11 other guys. I think yahoo is just fine.
  4. Montoyo needs to go. Watching him walk out to the mound is enough to make me vomit at this point. You got nothing Chuckles. Try using your starters more than 5 once and awhile. Such a joke!
  5. Thank you! Been saying this all year and getting flamed. Way too much reliance on the long ball. Good to see someone else who isnt blaming it on bad luck and bad umps. Good teams overcome that nonsense. This isnt a good team.
  6. Great feedback. Luck is most times the result of work and preparation. The definition of fluke is "an unlikely occurrence" i.e, not common place, not everyday. My point is the Red Sox havent been lucky 58 times this year. They have been good. But again, thank you for the solid three word rebuttal.
  7. They are better than a lot of people think. Run differential, in my opinion, is a wonky stat. It places too heavy of a emphasis on blow outs, and doesnt consider the actual record. I have read so much on this board about flukes, and being lucky. Flukes and luck aren't actual things in the everyday real world. A teams record should have heavier emphasis. About a month ago I said that the Blue Jays are exactly what their record states they are, a slightly above average team with great power hitting, bad pitching, and sub par defense, that would flip flop with the Yankees for 3rd place the entire year unless they got better pitching. To date that hasnt changed. The Red Sox are a well coached team, with consistent hitting, good pitching and good defense. They are one of the best 5 teams in the league, and deserve a little more respect than "Hey they get lucky"
  8. Caught a lot of crap on this opinion so far, but man this team needs some defense and hitters who dont rely on home runs so much. Its frustrating to watch.
  9. I'll take it. Ohtani has been nothing since the break.
  10. Not trying to give the guy too much credit because he obviously cheated, but good managers know how to make a collection of talent a team. Montoyo doesnt know how to do that. Sadly if the Jays win 90 games and just miss the playoffs he may be back.
  11. The Shohei Hyerbole has reached its boiling point. Literally read an article this week saying that Shohei is the new GOAT of baseball and is better than Babe Ruth. The guy is obviously a monster, but he isnt the best hitter this year let alone better than Babe Ruth. I know a lot of people find the game boring, but the tendency to want to focus on one player, over the fact that the game is absolutely brimming with great young players blows my mind.
  12. My 10 year old asked me why the pitcher was wearing tights and not baseball pants.
  13. Agreed. He better think this year is real though, its not many years you will have the lineup like you do now. You cant expect your team to lead the league in Home Runs every year. This offense is very real, Championship real. They have to get some pitching.
  14. Bottom line is this, the Jays are going to be a just above .500 team until they get some pitching. They cannot give up 7 runs to the Orioles and expect to win. Offense in Baseball is similar to defense in football, it wont bail you out everytime. Atkins better get some pitching soon or this team is going to flip flop with the Yankees for third all year long.
  15. Thought this was pretty cool. Not sure how to embed tweets but worth a look. https://twitter.com/VladGuerrero27/status/1410786471171211265
  16. Thanks for the details. You're probably right, its just a 42 game anomaly.
  17. You cant be flukey 42 times. At this point, the teams you're watching are what they are. The Mariners are an above average team winning games with pitching and defense. The Blue Jays are an above average team winning games with batting. I get the Pythagorean Win stuff, but honestly sometime your actual record is the perfect example of who you really are.
  18. The guy doing the heckling is most likely Mark Aichinger. He is Bisons' staple. If it was him the shut up probably wasnt very cool. Here is a video of Mark and his story.
  19. I'd keep the starting lineup as is, but you have to go get pitching asap. I'd go and get another starter and a closer. Trade 1: Toronto C Danny Jansen St. Louis CL Alex Reyes Trade 2: Toronto C-Adams P-Borucki SS-de Castro P-Kloffenstein 2B-Machado Colorado P-Austin Gomber
