  1. This made me check what the longest at bat in MLB history was. It was the Giants' Brandon Belt at 21 pitches in 2018 so I guess spring training doesn't count lol.
  2. You did but one can still hope lol.
  3. Wow... another game that I'll probably tune off after a couple of innings. BOOOOOOO
  4. I will bet my top dollar that we acquire a front end rotation piece prior to the trade deadline. BTW... has Stripling pitched this spring? Any word on him as to whether 2020 was a fluke off year? It's only spring but at least Ray, Matz and Roark have been encouraging considering what happened in 2020. Going 4/4 on bounce back years would be unreal but probably a pipedream lol.
  5. Hopefully they put out a good starting unit to make it fun to watch.
  6. Theyre getting Springer ready for when Martin takes over CF in a few years
  7. Tomorrow. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/sportsnet-announces-blue-jays-2021-spring-training-broadcast-schedule/
  8. Liriano did walk 2 but still good nonetheless. Not sure to get excited or realize that we faced the Orioles lol.
  9. Wouldn't put that past Montoyo after seeing Biggio bat 7th/8th while Jansen was 3rd last year lol.
  10. So after today, the talk is clear that it should be Bo vs Jansen for the 9th spot and not Biggio lol
  11. Only other wrinkle to Jansen being 9th is that if Tellez is in the lineup, we would have to split up our lefties. That means we need one of Gurriel/Teo/Semien to bat 7th.
  12. Gonna change my mind and go with this answer.
  13. Ya it's an extremely minor detail for such a stacked lineup but was curious on what the preference of the majority was on something like this. Either Jansen 9th or Biggio 9th.
  14. What are people's thoughts on Biggio batting 7th vs 9th? 7th is where he roughly ranks batting wise but I prefer 9th so we have a great on base guy before Springer. Kind of works as a table setter from that position. It also sucks for late game situations where we might have an inferior player getting more at bats by being higher than him in the order.
  15. So the game they broadcast, the Jays decide to play the scrubs but yesterday they play everyone. BOOOOOOO!!!
  16. Basketball is my number 1 sport and I do agree that the constant 3 point jacking is becoming an issue to a lot of folks. It's one thing to watch Curry/Klay shoot 3s the way they do but seeing scrubs think they should shoot as much is excruciatingly bad. I do like some of those rules baseball is trying to implement, especially bigger bags. No one likes seeing players being called out because they slide off the bag. They can also institute what softball has by having a bigger 1st base extended into foul territory. It should prevent almost all injuries you see there.
  17. Sadly sometimes that doesn't matter because Grichuk is earning 10 mill a year while Kirk has options. It's a s***** aspect of baseball that I hope changes in the next labour negotiations.
  18. Unless there's an injury, there's very little playing time at DH for Kirk. We already have Tellez and Grichik platooning through there. Kirk should be starting it seems but they won't cut bait with Jansen just yet imo. No one wants to see Kirk split duties at 1 position, especially when you factor in that McGuire has no options left. Jansen should feel the pressure to perform and probably won't get more than a month or two before the Kirk calls getting loud.
  19. This Blue Jays lineup will be so fun to watch man. Can't wait.
  20. I just can't picture him as a pitcher. One thing for sure, he'll be the best damn pinch running pitcher of all time lol.
  21. Yaa... just get an intern to do some play by play commentating and we're golden. I think it's such a wasted opportunity for sponsorship to not be doing this already. Never miss any moment to market your team.
  22. I am pleading stupid on this matter. How many games would Pearson need to stay in AAA for this to matter?
  23. So I'm going to guess that Pearson might be held out until the date we can get another year of service time for him. It does make some sense for him to show he can stay healthy first I guess. Just makes our already s*** rotation even shittier.
  24. Agreed. Shouldn't take much for them to do that but at least this is progress.
  25. Damn... how did he get anything on that throw.
