  1. Please don't let that play be the beginning of our end. It's been that type of season...
  2. We might as well sell Ray and Semien if we aren't planning on re-signing them. Find out what their number is now long term and if it doesn't work then trade them to long term pieces. Only makes sense with the other teams getting stronger in the short term.
  3. We should not be in on any rentals. Only trade for players under control for at least next season. Our management has already wasted half the season to observe the team, which has probably cost us the division. Making a foolish panic trade would be foolish and unlike this management.
  4. I swear the Padres have bee trading from tbeir farm system for like 3 years. What they've done is absolutely remarkable. Just too bad they're stuck in a division with the Dodgers.
  5. Logged on just to vent about how friggin stupid that was. How do you reach the majors and still don't understand when you're supposed to run or not...
  6. Exactly. This team will not trade any major pieces for a rental. Whoever they get will be under control for a few years at least. I want to win this season as much as anyone but the long term picture matters the most here. Beginning next season, there will be no excuses. Expanded playoffs, which I feel will be added next year, will probably make the process easier too.
  7. Why is Reese being paired with anyone? Dude is horrible behind the plate in every facet I can see.
  8. What does that say about the other RPs on our team? Lol
  9. One of our better relievers gone, which tells you the sad state of our bullpen.
  10. Game has been postponed and will be made up when the team is back in Toronto. This is a win/win since we also get to skip Hatch's start!
  11. Looks like Pearson is going down the Sanchez route where he could be massive for us in the setup role like Sanchez was in 2015.
  12. I would buy a sweatshirt with only that printed. Looks awesome.
  13. We also had Frank Thomas who was a beast. I'd probably put him 1st.
  14. I have hated him and his takes for a long time. No clue how he keeps appearing on TV.
  15. What happened, teams coming back to Toronto? Didn't hear lol
  16. Montoyo better let Ryu finish this one out if things go as is.
  17. Really? That would suck since he was one of our better relievers this year (not saying much).
  18. All good. We all seem to be making up things as we go anyways. They said they're gonna consider themselves an outdoor venue and try to keep the roof open as much possible. It's why there'll be 15,000 since there would be like 5K otherwise. It's win/win for the players and fans so I'm happy.
  19. For the massive difference in quantity of tickets they can sell, I'm the sure the Jays wouldn't get hurt if they experienced a few rain delays in the worst case. Is be going that route for sure if I cared about increasing revenue, which most businesses are about.
  20. That is exactly why I said the dome might remain an outdoor facility during all games and we might even see rain delays. They can the shut the roof during all other times when there are no fans in the seats. It makes the most economic sense.
  21. I dunno man, I can easily see it being considered an outdoor gathering with no roof and the seats socially distanced. We'll find out soon enough.
  22. There are different restrictions on capacity for indoor vs outdoor gatherings. I am assuming if the dome is open that it would be considered an outdoor gathering, which allows a lot more people at the games. A closed dome would be an indoor gathering, which allows a lot less people inside. Am i off here?
  23. Feel like we're gonna have an open Dome regardless if it rains or not. The difference between the numbers of people allowed in a closed dome stadium vs an open one is too massive. Will we see our first real rain delay in Rogers Center history?
