My bad... was stuck looking at the graph itself and didn't look at the entire title.

That graph doesn't take into account launch angle does it? That seems to be sheer luck as to why balls hit 70MPH have more success than balls hit 80 to 95 MPH. You would assume the harder you hit the ball, the better chance for success as it gives the defense less time to react and also makes the play harder for them.

He should have gone for sure. Worst case you have 1st and 3rd with 2 outs instead of 2nd and 3rd. That ball was hit to the side and wouldn't have been as easy of a play at home.

He already stated that he was more mentally scared of pushing his quad than the physical injury itself. He said he was surprised his body was able to do certain things that he didn't think was possible. My guess was that he just had another scare mentally and got a bit paranoid. He should know his body better than anyone so if he needed to be out then that's what has to happen. Those type of things could sometimes be a precursor to a more serious injury.
