  1. Seemed unnecessary to pinch hit Jansen so soon considering Reese just got a hit his last at bat. Also, why make him work half the game behind the plate when you didn't want him to work with Pearson to start? The lefty/rights thing gets very annoying at times.
  2. Who would have thought Jansen would be pinch hitting ever this season lol
  3. How does that get credited as a hit? Should be a fielders choice no?
  4. Surprised Espinal isn't pinch hitting for Tellez here lol
  5. Would have been a perfect fit offensively. Still curious what our follow up move would have been if it happened.
  6. You're going to be held to this point of view lol.
  7. You cannot run if Gurriel is involved in the play. Amazing relay!
  8. Of course and Pearson is supposed to be a cornerstone for our pitching staff though. Was just saying that we will need to work through some struggles since the issues Pearson has seem to be a MLB brightlights sort of thing. Hard to work on control when he doesn't have these issues in the minors.
  9. As hitters for sure but at SS/3B defensively? We have a 2nd baseman who is clearly better than Bo right now at that position defensively but we're willing to sacrifice some of the present for the future. We should do the same with Pearson.
  10. Of course. I was agreeing about giving Pearson more reps at the MLB level and not sending him down. I was citing us doing a similar thing with Bo and Biggio to help overcome their defensivd struggles by not moving them from the positions. That's all...
  11. Sounds about right. There is a limit on how bad he can be though but if we can try to work through Bo and Biggio s***ing the bed defensively, I'm sure there will be some leeway for Pearson.
  12. Ya lol. There's a reason why not every top prospect from the minors becomes elite at the big league level. It's a whole different world. For every pitcher that pans out, there are MANY more that don't. MLB bullpens are filled with failed starters.
  13. Some people believe Biggio isnt have a bad season too. There must be some undercover Jays employees on these boards because the blind optimism is concerning at times lol.
  14. Take notes Tellez... thats how you knock it down at least...
  15. You don't think we need to address our starting pitching? We have 2 good starters right now and a wild card in Matz. If you think we can go the whole season with this rotation and be a contender then I completely disagree. Also, it is highly unlikely our bullpen will trend how they have been for 162 games considering most are unknown scrubs and will be worn out by then
  16. It's exactly what I was saying to start the thread. People are always green on prospects. You cannot mark anyone in your rotation who has not proven it on this stage. We're gonna have to make a move very soon or our season will be a wash.
  17. Did it? Just saw the ball go through his legs.
  18. Damn man. Vladdys average is about to dip under .300 soon. I already have you penciled as a top 5 MVP candidate so no going back now.
  19. Guessing they must have worked together in the minors/offsite camp this and last year.
