If that's the case then he should have earned a longer leash than 1 bad outing against a really good offense. Not a fan of the demotion for a guy who was supposed to be part opening day rotation.
I recall Doc Halladay having to go from A Ball back to the Major because of readjusting his delivery. If this is the case, good luck to Nate on this adventure and hope he comes out on top.
Ya when you're talking to yourself on the mound as much as he was, seems like it's strictly mental. He'll be going up against the Phillies next game assuming he stays here, which he should.
He was pretty good most of last year too so I'm surprised it took this long to get him back up. Especially considering how much we used him last season.
I only hated that we took Shoemaker and Ray out early just so we could use him first out of the pen in the wild card game.
Seemed unnecessary to pinch hit Jansen so soon considering Reese just got a hit his last at bat. Also, why make him work half the game behind the plate when you didn't want him to work with Pearson to start?
The lefty/rights thing gets very annoying at times.
Of course and Pearson is supposed to be a cornerstone for our pitching staff though. Was just saying that we will need to work through some struggles since the issues Pearson has seem to be a MLB brightlights sort of thing. Hard to work on control when he doesn't have these issues in the minors.
As hitters for sure but at SS/3B defensively? We have a 2nd baseman who is clearly better than Bo right now at that position defensively but we're willing to sacrifice some of the present for the future. We should do the same with Pearson.
