  1. Damn... didn't even take that into account. We're talking about improving our defense while still rostering Bo and Biggio. Let the conspiracies begin lol
  2. Exactly... to call Gurriel nothing is hilarious. He alone is projected to have a higher wRC+. Then you trade one of the best prospects in baseball who will probably have a higher wRC+ too. Come on now lol
  3. Yes considering most of his WAR came from his defense.
  4. Then why the hell is Bo still our starting SS? Dude blows defensively and plays a super premium position.
  5. Maaannn... you cant trade Moreno + Gurriel without getting a no doubt Superstar in return. This is a total panic move in an attempt to get a Left Handed OFer.
  6. 3 way trade is always possible.
  7. I get that... it seems like he wanted to remain close to home so I'd assume he'd give Tampa the hometown discount to stay with them if they wanted him back. Anyways, if he's fully healthy and ready to go for spring training, he addresses my concern for having elite CF defense. Now I still think we need a legit SS defensively but that doesn't seem like it will get addressed this offseason at least.
  8. I think we all would but their contracts will likely be larger too. We're so close to the lux tax that I think we'd go after someone like him (if we went through free agency). We still have one of our catchers to dangle for a cheaper alternative.
  9. Nice... calling the Kikuchi contract stupid ruffles some feathers. Hope you're keeping sober these days and still aren't the town drunk around here lol.
  10. The difference with those players was that we didn't commit to them long term financially so the risk was minimal. And excuse me if I dont care about offseason reports when we have his past 1.5 seasons to show he's underwhelming to say the least. But yes, if they can harness his control then he can earn the remainder of his contract. Let's see how he looks in spring training because he'd help the rotation immensely if he was good.
  11. Would love to take the chance on him, especially with the shifts going away. Upside is too great to not like him in a 3rd/4th OF role. For that reason, I'm guessing he'll get a decent offer from someone.
  12. Man that physical must be really worrying if we're still waiting (my guess). Also scares me that Tampa is letting him walk on a 1 year deal if that's what ends up being the final deal. Tampa rarely screws up lol.
  13. Still don't get wtf this front office was thinking with that contract. They got full of themselves thinking they could "fix" anyone.
  14. You're talking about a gold glove finalist at CF sir. *runs away knowing that means jack all lol.
  15. Feel like we can rip off SD and SF because they're desperate, especially SD who wants to win while they have Soto.
  16. Maybe his physical is concerning the Jays and the deal might not go through?
  17. Must be great to be a Met fan lol.
  18. Don't think we need to do full time platoons if Gallo was here. We still have the DH spot that we can rotate people through. I'm sure Kirk will take up half those spots but it should be available the other half and that's assuming we're at full health.
  19. Hope so... we have a good lineup but far from one that I'd consider to be scary and good enough to offset our other limitations. Still want that impact left handed bat. Not sure who or how tbh. Springer Bo Vlad Kirk Chapman Gurriel Merrifield Moreno KK
  20. Everyone seems to love his D in this thread #NoHomo
  21. I'd say more like Pillar. KK is better defensively and should expect the same OBP from him offensively. Let's not forget the added base running that we could certainly use.
  22. Even Teo of the past few seasons was massive for us... not sure why you're dismissing his offensive contributions. And let's not forget that cannon of an arm for the times he could catch the ball lol.
  23. The year we got Glaus/Overbay and friends and 2013 after the Marlins trade and adding Dickey... boy were those exciting times in the offseason. We'll ignore how the season actually went lol
  24. While I hated his laziness in the field, clearly his extension expectations were too unrealistic for the Jays. There is no doubt that Teo is going to have his best season as a pro next year (assuming he's healthy). Part of me would have taken that + the compensation pick over what we ended up doing. Then again, I have very little exposure to Swanson and he could easily shut me up during the season.
  25. Oh come on... such semantics here lol.
