    They declined his 12M option. Think at that point it was a pride thing to not go back to the same team for less money if you could get that elsewhere. He also chose to stay in the division whereas he could have gotten a slightly bigger deal elsewhere I believe. Maybe to shove it to the Rays? Lol

    KK might become my favourite blue jay really fast. I absolutely hated him as a Ray for the same reason why I'd him as a Jay lol.

    Chapman showing you the power of a contract year. Those are the type of players you want on your team lol. It's why I always want to sign guys who prefer a 1 year deal in free agency. That added motivation of generational wealth is what gets guys going (e.g. Semien, Ray).
