    As much as I love Vladdy, I'd hesitate to give any super long term deal to a player with weight issues. Around 8 years is the most we should go, which would take him to age 30ish.

    My only issue with all these Jose trade talks is that we need some cheap controllable assets if we have any hopes to sustain our run. That was the whole point of our massive rebuild. Gotta be able to plug in cheap guys to compliment the core. We're probably gonna be near our max budget by the start of next offseason and that's not even counting the massive Vladdy/Bo/Teo/Berrios deals we'll have to dish out by the end of next year.

    As much as I love Brantley, we probably aren't getting Semien in that scenario.

    That sounds like almost every player from the 2015/2016 teams though. Pretty sure our management had something to do with that. There's a reason why they cleaned house totally since they didn't want any toxic leftovers. If they could have traded all the fans around that time, they would have too lol.

    This was my problem with him all year. He should have leaned on our starters more when our bullpen was full of scrubs. Guy thought he had the Rays bullpen and lost us plenty of games because of that. I thought not being able to figure that out was reason enough to fire him but I guess Shatkins are probably taking blame on themselves for that.

    I like Stroman more than most it seems... probably because I'm not on social media lol. I doubt our front office takes back anyone from the 2015/2016 teams... they made it a priority to get rid of everyone from that team since they were mostly AA supporters and never seemed to get along with Shatkins.

    Ya or maybe even Kris Bryant and bat him 5th. Then focus on getting a more impactful DH if we are downgrading from Semien or not able to get Ramirez. We are in a great position to bring back the same level of team with a much improved bullpen. That would make us legit world series contenders for sure. Really hope Semien can take satisfaction from being the best 2B in the game. Dude is going to win silver slugger and the Gold glove probably.

    I really wish we could bring back Semien but Bo isn't giving up SS after how he turned it around in the 2nd half of the season. We need to sign an elite 2B/3B to replace him while letting Biggio/Espinal battle for the other spot.     While that sucked... pretty sure Semien more than made up for it. Our manager on the other hand was a douche practically all season. Do not want to see him back or the anger to turn towards Shatkins.
