    Cancer doesn't seem like the right word here. Now whether he can be a teams 1/2 pitcher for long term in this division is another story. There aren't many of those walking around to be honest. Our management does seem to have a hard on for Gausman so let's see how it goes.

    Going the cheap arm route is exactly what led us to having one of the worst bullpens in baseball. We needed to improve the bottom end of our bullpen desperately and this might help do it. Now we need to add at least 1 elite bullpen arm this offseason to finish that area off and hope for good health.

    Well to be fair, stroman broke news that no one's talking to him so it's not like everyone has teams after them. Even if it's click bait, I enjoy seeing news about free agency lol. This offseason might be our biggest in determining how great our team is for years to come. These contracts will be for the longhaul so no more kid gloves anymore.

    Can get annoying off the field but love the guy on the field, which i mostly what I care about. Seems like he may have wanted to come back and we didn't want him. No reason to throw Ray and Gausman's names into the fire though.

    Surprised is an understatement, wtf is Vlad doing on that list? Seriously though, add Teo and hopefully Semien to that list

    Both scare me in terms of being able to keep up their performance from last year. Says Gausman will likely get a 5 year deal so seems like it will be right around where Ray ends up.

    If this is true then that's awesome. We desperately needed to improve the bottom end of our bullpen. This will help Montoyo look good if he can't use the likes Thorton. Just need to add one more elite bullpen arm now.

    I have no clue how this offseason is going to break for us. Really curious who we end up with but I hope we can bring Semien back along with 1 impact starting arm and 2 impact bullpen arms.

    Matz would take the QO for sure imo. I'm glad we didn't give it to him since we could better use that money elsewhere. Part of me thinks the Cards and other teams would move onto other targets if it meant giving up a pick for Matz. He just isn't good enough for that imo.

    Really hoped we could land Gravemen. We need about 2 players of his calibre added to our bullpen this offseason.

    Nope, argument is that Ray himself is mostly responsible for his performance just like Semien is mostly responsible for his. Why not give our hitting coach similar credit for Semien turning it around too? Of course coaches can help Improve a players performance but it's just a funny narrative to me that Pete Walker is Rumplestilskin lol.

    We'd all consider Franco the better player here no? Although Bo has more MLB experience so the risk should technically slightly less.

    So all pitchers that fail is the fault of the pitcher (Garica/Roark/Anderson + the pen arms like Thorton) but when a pitcher has a turn around season during their contract year it's all Pete Walker. Sure sounds great to get the benefit of the doubt almost every time here lol. Can we start giving credit to our hitting coach for "making" Semien too? Lol
