    Perfect world, we trade one of our catchers, Grichuk and maybe someone else to fill our remaining needs. A left handed 4th OF that can play CF when Springer is out and a top end bullpen arm are my top priorities. People keep mentioning Dickerson but forget his noodle arm out there.

    I am friggin so happy. There were so many game changing errors at 3B last year and now we have a stud there. On top, there's hope you can get his bat back to normal after enough time to heal from hip surgery, there's no reason not to LOVE this deal.

    Ya there's no way I'd want the Jays to give Freeman 6/180. I had hoped there would be some rumours of Correa with the Springer connection and all but we haven't heard a peep. I think it's unrealistic to expect 2 moves like a Schwarber/Chapman but we definitely need to make one impact infield signing to replace Semien. Now let's see what Shatkins do

    Was just about to post this. So I guess they're out from the Freeman sweepstakes.

    Think it's less about a 1B but more so about them all being big left handed bats that fit in the top 4/5 in our lineup.

    Neither. Schwarber + Chapman/Ramirez combined will earn less over the next 2 years than Freeman and Votto's just too old to trade anything worthwhile. This also doesn't require you pushing your best player to a different position full time.

    Sounds like most are down to sign Schwarbar and trade for Chapman/Ramirez. It totally seems like the logical move as Schwarber + Chapman/Ramirez combined will earn less over the next 2 years than Freeman.

    Freeman is not the guy we need to overpay for. Of course if love him on the team but he's not the perfect fit like a Jose Rameriz.

    Ya I think Schwarber and Bryant might only cost a little more yearly while being less overall than a 6 year deal to Freeman.

    Carlos has been right a few times so that's the only reason why anyone's pants are tingling. I'd get it if he never got any rumours right. He does seem pretty plugged in.
