  1. I read that as I'm willing to go to the Jays and play 2B like Semien did lol. Springer Bo Vlad Teo Chapman (he will be back to 2019 form) Story Gurriel Kirk Biggio (plays all over the diamond while we rotate DH's)
  2. There we go... about time they make most of these games available.
  3. First game is today... we should get the exact schedule soon no?
  4. My God... imagine the day the Angels want to trade Trout. What would be the return for him if we'd give all that up for 2 years of Ramirez.
  5. That sounds great but do you do it even if you know the chances to keep him are slim after 2 years? Our competitive window is just starting so I'm not in favour of depleting our team for 2 years and be left with nothing after that. This needs to be a sustained window of success. I'd rather be a 95 win team consistently for 6 years than be a 100 win team for 2 years and then be a 90 win team afterwards. Hope that makes sense.
  6. So tomorrow's game won't be broadcasted even though they have all their guys there? The Jays ppl keep talking about how great their Spring Training site is and yet they can't afford a couple of cameras there lol.
  7. Pearson, Biggio, Kirk and a low level prospect is as far as I would go assuming we could sign Jose to an extension. I don't want to give up a bunch of good young controllable talent for a 2 year rental. The difference between Jose and a comeback version of Biggio is not worth the risk for me.
  8. I'm surprised he got close to Pederson and even more surprised that this got its own thread lol. I want my backup OF to be able to play CF adequately and pinch run if needed. His bat wasn't good enough to offset that imo.
  9. As long as Springer plays in some of the games, I'm fine with him doing whatever he thinks he needs to be ready by opening day. It is weird since getting live at bats and fielding should be the best way so let's see. Sounds like something someone would say who either isn't in good shape or nursing an injury. Especially when you consider spring training is already shortened.
  10. Because I thought we could get him to a reasonable deal before he blows up. The Jays did the same thing with Semien by offering him a long term deal at what wiuld be considered a massive bargain now right now. Unfortunately for us, Semien rightfully bet on himself and got paid much much more by the Rangers.
  11. Baerga said on his Instagram Live that there's a 85% chance Ramirez becomes a Jay. Now whether happens now or at the trade deadline depending on how Cleveland is doing is TBD.
  12. It's pretty much how it played out with Semien who was coming off a down year. Chapman will uptick in HRs just going from Oaklands ballpark to the Rogers Center. I'm expecting great things from Chapman who will be on the verge of looking for his life setting payday. I'd love if we could lock him up longterm now.
  13. Especially when you consider Grichuk would take up like 20% of their overall payroll lol.
  14. Ya it could be the Edwin situation where the Braves actually got a great player instead of the corpse of Morales. I'm sure we'll find out the truth in a few days.
  15. The luxury tax provides 0 fear to the Dodgers. I'm sick of them living at their crazy payroll lol.
  16. 150M for Freeman. The Braves really couldn't match that for him instead of sending out prospects for Olson?
  17. If he makes it out of spring training without an injury, I'll be shocked. I really hope you're right though, his stuff is NASTY.
  18. Current lineup is deeper but the current team cannot touch the trio of Donaldson/Jose/Edwin. 2015 also had the better defense and bullpen while the current team has better starting pitching. In the end, it's a toss up. But doesn't it feel great that we're just starting out contending window? We knew 2015 only had a few seasons of elite baseball left and it was even shorter than that.
  19. So if we're not extending all those guys because we're going to be financially strapped, we will need young prospects to take their place no? Otherwise there will be a drastic drop off in terms of talent a few years from now. We are just in the beginning of our contending window, let's not make shortsighted moves that will make this era only last a few seasons. The whole difference between AA going all in for 2015 was because of the ages of our core players. We're in a completely different situation right now.
  20. Ya I was listening to Moresi tall about that infields potential to be one of the best infield today. I was like that would be one of the best infield of all time lol.
  21. I was going to make a joke but erased what I had typed out since I actually like Osuna lol.
  22. Is there even a point to give up that much for 1.5 seasons of a guy you probably can't afford to keep? We have extensions to Vladdy/Bo/Teo/Gurriel/Chapman to worry about by that time. We'll need a new wave of young/cheap controllable talent ready to contribute if we want to sustain our winning ways.
  23. He already signed elsewhere and is on the 60 Day DL I think lol
  24. We need to add one impact reliever. We have pretty much kept the same pen from last year, which we'd all agree would be the worst amongst all the elite teams. Ideally, I'd like Romano as the 8th inning guy with a shut down closer.
  25. Surprised Bryant got that much money. He has been too inconsistent to be getting that much money. Makes the Semien deal look better too.
