Shaprio breeds confidence. Him and Atkins are night and day in how they communicate lol
  2. Jays24
I really hope Atkins doesnt talk like this away from the cameras. Imagine trying to get an answer from him on anything lol.
  3. Jays24
Damn... Atkins hairline hanging on for dear life

Shatkins about to have their presser at in 5 minutes. Promotions for everyone? Lol

Jays needs: Top 4 of the order bats at 2B and LF to make Clement our backup IF and Lukes our 4th OFer (e.g. Bo with the Mets paying some of his salary + Suzuki/Sato) A front line starter as Soriano seems like a 3/4. (Cease, ?, Soriano, Yesavage, Ponce) High leverage lefty to make Flaherty our 2nd LHP out of the pen Keep Miles as our 7th inning man Bring Straw back as the 5th OFer I dont think the Jays can get all that so id downgrade needing a top end starter to bringing back Gausman or Bieber instead. Just hope one of our guys can become a #2 calibre starter on a contender. Most important part is getting this done before the lockout happens on December 1 when things will probably become a lot harder for us to spend our way to contention.

Cant wait to disagree with everyone with what this team will need to become good again lol.

Jays pitchers should be used to it lol

Pretty sure Max said "im not f***ing coming out" and walked by JS haha

Just gets me sad that we were 2 outs and several other plays from our last years squad being memorialized 4 life
  11. Jays24
    Im not crying lol
  12. Jays24
Did the fielder just let that drop on purpose lol
  13. Jays24
Oh for sure... just meant it wont have the same emotional connection here. Springer on the other hand will get exactly what you guys want for Max.
  14. Jays24
He has a deep connection with Detroit. That doesnt exist here so it won't be anywhere close.
  15. Jays24
Its ok... no need for accountability as the results dont matter. Its all about the friends we made along the way lol.
  16. Jays24
Problem is Shapiro wont do it and he isnt going anywhere. Just a bunch of yes men from top to bottom and a fanbase thats providing 0 heat to ownership to change anything.
  17. Jays24
This franchise needs to answer a lot of tough questions this offseason but everyone seems too soft/weak minded and are probably ok with the status quo...
  18. Jays24
Clement exemplifying the IQ of this team lol
  19. Jays24
Fun fact - Gabriel Moreno has passed Luis Arraez for the NL Batting lead
  20. Jays24
    Vladdy triple play? Lol

I didnt say they were all a failure... just 1 season that was a true success when you look at the end result. Of course thats a simplistic view as you should count seasons where you slowly improve after a rebuild as successful too. I count 2020 to 2022 as good seasons where the team was trending in the right direction. 2023 to me was a sign this team was headed in the wrong direction as everyone here was just waiting to get shut out in the wild card games with the anemic offense. The swings between 2024/2025/2026 are wild so its hard to see where the franchise is truly headed if they arent allowed to spend at this level after the new CBA. My main point was that I can hardly think of a GM in any sport who has been given 10 years with only 1 season where the team even won a playoff round and no championship. Also, in no way am I crediting Atkins for 2016 but like Max said, he gets the benefit of having to rebuild with no prospects in the cupboard due to that.

10 years with 1 successful season. 1 impactful prospect to potentially show for during that time who still hasnt had a full good season in the majors while working with a top 5 payroll in baseball. Atkins might have the best job security in professional sports with the least amount actually achieved. It would only fly in such a soft baseball market tbh lol.
  23. Jays24
Boss Atkins did it again folks. Take a victory lap for Soriano lol
  24. Jays24
Ok folks, time to put the pitchforks away. Just comeback next year and be better... much better lol.
  25. Jays24
Will Vlad get booed or not, that is the question lol
