    I said I'd rather bet on him finishing the season strong than to trade him for peanuts. In that scenario... he would have several more starts to show "he's back" and then yes, id give him the qualifying offer assuming the medicals back that up obviously. Only the Jays know what type of offers theyre getting for him right now vs what this other scenario could lead to.

    Did you forget that he was one of our best starters most of last season? Anyways, Lauer isnt a be all, end all type of decision. I was just a fan of the way he conducted himself last year and thought Schneider should have used him out of the pen more when he was moved there for a broken Max. He did annoy me this year too but the difference was, I understood why he became disgruntled. Anyways, happy hes doing well.

Ive always preferred a message board type of format that usually leads to better discussion. Anyways, just feels exhausting going back and forth with the same people on the same stuff.     The main reason he picked up the option was because he wouldnt pass a physical from any team. Its why he took a few months off to start the season.
