  1. How do you figure Pete Rose's gambling could affect the outcome of any games. There's sufficient evidence while he managed the Reds that he only placed bets on his team to win he never once bet against them to lose. Isn't all sport teams suppose to play to win, anyways that how we were taught growing up you always give it your best shot to win the games. That's an indication that he didn't purposely throw any games while managing to benefit himself personally. He didn't have any other control over any outcome of any other games than his own.
  2. Impeach the president that would be impossible with the most corrupted administration in US history. They make our government scandals look like the class prankster who farted in class while everyone is trying to figure out who let the stinker.
  3. The Blue Jays announced that Gurriel could see some playing time at firstbase this season. This look like an indication that they are ready to give Anthony Alford a real good look before making a decision on his future as he's out of options. Alford was touted as highly talent athlete both in football and baseball to the extent that the scouts had projected him first round talent if he would've committed only to baseball instead of still pursing football. Injuries caused his setbacks now healthy I believe the Blue Jays are going to give him a chance. The only draw back it pushes Rowdy Tellez out of the picture for the time being he still has option I wouldn't be surprise if Tellez start this season in the minors.
  4. The only reason the players weren't disciplined is how do you differentiate who really benefited and who didn't in any team that stole signs it's pretty much a guarantee that every player benefited in one form or another especially knowing what pitch was thrown. You can't suspend a whole team that why they only chose to suspend management the ones who had the power to stop it. This only make the case stronger to lift the ban for Pete Rose to inducted into the baseball HOF at least his gambling didn't change the outcome of any games.
  5. Going the last season stats splits Pillar hit .288 vs lefties while JBJ hit .213 Benni hit .269. Plus JBJ has a knack of going hitless for some elongated periods where last year they sat him out for 4-5 games and some he only went in as defensive replacement in the late innings.
  6. The Red Sox has no intention of DFAing Pillar why bother signing him in the first place. Pillar could platoon with JBJ who doesn't hit well against lefty Pillar bring a RH bat to the outfield as the rest of their outfielders are all LH bats. Plus it speculated that Verdugo won't be ready for the season start.
  7. Of course it's a joke pun intended car -Hot Rod (32 Ford). You playing with yourself in your car.
  8. Hey Deadpool when you were rubbing one out in your car did you think you owned a Hot Rod.
  9. I'm appalled on how many people here see it's normal for an adult going to a busy parking lot (public place) and masturbate where one can be guaranteed to be seen by others. It would seem to me that such an individual could be suffering from exhibitionistic disorder where one fantasy or acts is to expose one genitals to strangers.
  10. The only trouble is when he goes down in the grouch and start fiddling his fingers in his crotch how will the pitcher recognize he's trying to lay down the signs or is he starting to play with himself.
  11. Done Deal Kevin Pillar sign a one year contract with the Red Sox for $ 4.25 mil.
  12. No that's our country opinion don't know what whacked out views you cherish but here in Canada if anyone performs an indecent act in public that can be viewed by one or more persons it's an indictable offense that can carry up to 2 years of prison time.
  13. No worries if he gets suspended by the MLB or canned from the Blue Jays he could always joined the Conservative party and run in Tony Clement's riding of Ontario instead of sexting pictures of his Johnson. Anyone who wanted to could just drop by his constituency office and get a glimpse of the real thing in live action.
  14. Sources claims that FA Kevin Pillar is close to reaching a deal with the Boston Red Sox. We might possibly see quite a bit of the former Blue Jays CF in 2020.
  15. Former Blue Jays pitcher Mike Bolsinger is suing the Houston Astros saying their sign stealingscheme is the reason that his career was cut short. He claims after an outing in Houston in August 2017 game he gave up 4 runs in relief which lead to his release and his career.
  16. I would like to see fellow Canadian Joey Votto in the HOF but it's very doubtful his credential and accolades doesn't add up to HOF standards and being from Canada certainly doesn't help. Walker had 4 season of maintaining an batting avg over .350 between 97-02 he was the 5th player with the best OPS in baseball other were Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Manny Ramirez and Jason Giambi all known PED users. Since 1945 HOF RF Walker is 3rd in OPS+ behind Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson he's no 1 in OBP and SLG ahead of such great as Guerrero, Jackson, Kaline, Gwynn, Winnfield and Dawson. Larry Walker career stats were cut short due his injuries especially his herniated disc in his neck.
  17. Congratulations to Larry Walker 33 the pride of Maple Ridge BC you were an inspiration for all Canadian baseball players and fans. Your place in Cooperstown was rightfully so but long overdue as a young Expos manning RF and one of stars on that famous 94 dream team which was destined for the WS. Walker is only the second Canadian elected to HOF he's the first Canadian position player I doubt very much they will be any other Canadian to surpass his accomplishment in the sport. He was NL league MVP,3 time NL Batting Champion, 1 NL HR Champion, 5 time All-Star, 7 Gold Gloves, 3 Silver Slugger.
  18. I'm taking about regular starting position on the infield 3rd, SS, 2nd and 1st. In 93 & 94 Olerud was the regular 1st baseman and Stottlemyre was a pitcher like his father.
  19. The Blue Jays signing of Travis Shaw ex MLB pitcher Jeff Shaw's son as their regular first baseman. Can the Blue Jays be making MLB history as having the only complete starting infield of all former major league players's son manning each and every position. I can't recall having any other team in the MLB who had so many former MLB players's son 2nd generation on their roster.
  20. With the Jays still staying committed to Vladdy playing at 3rd base it's safe to presume that the infield will be set with Bichette at SS, Biggio at 2nd and Shaw at 1st. You've got like the potential this signing got Shaw had put up 2 good back to back season in NL and he still only 29. Sometimes when a team gives up on player it triggers an inner push to extra motivate themselves to excel and prove them wrong. The Blue Jays had quite a bit of success doing these type of signings one has to think of Bautista, Encarnacion and Smoak these guys were down and out nobody wanted to give them a chance they came to Toronto and rebounded their career in positive manner with good worthy seasons. Shaw is no different this has the potential of being the steal signing of the year.
  21. Travis Shaw signed a one year deal to be the regular first baseman with performance incentives according to Shaw the Blue Jays offered him the everyday position with regular at bats as part of a deal he was looking for to rebound his career. In order to make room for him on the roster Richard Urena was DFAed. Shaw is no stranger to Canada his dad Jeff Shaw pitched 3 years in Montreal with the Expos organization back in the early 90's. Shaw will bring some versatility to the Blue Jays as he can play 3rd, 2nd and 1st base making it the only vacant position available with the departure of Smoak.
  22. Just as figured no response Yada Yada Yada. FYI the Astros recalled a rhp starting pitcher named Cy Sneed from AAA to fill that spot in the rotation. Now that should tell you a lot in case you can't figure it out they're keeping their bullpen intact so Sanchez is in the rotation for the Astros and will he'll take back his spot upon his return.
  23. Let's see how much you really follow baseball what will be Astros's move?
  24. Well it doesn't look like so in this case does it. Watching baseball doesn't make you a baseball guru you need to read more about the different teams. If you know so much you why didn't you report it and why everyone was so surprised on here when the Astros put Sanchez in rotation rather than the bullpen. What about the pectoral strain no word from you why. I'm not ready to go spend half the evening trying to copy and paste links to every article I've read in the past few weeks. Answer me this why did the Astros target Sanchez?
  25. Didn't have too if you broaden your intellectual outside the realm of the Blue Jays you might actually have a clue on what going on in the baseball world.
