  1. It's going to come down to the position each player can play Tellez plays first base and DH there's plenty of options for Montoyo on who can play first base Davis plays outfield all 3 positions he been the 4th outfielder and late inning defensive replacement. Springer will eased back into the game. Expect Davis to stay as a safety precaution for Springer.
  2. Not a chance Davis is safe they use him as late inning defensive replacement over Gurriel plus with the uncertainty of Springer they're not leaving the outfield short a player. Panik has better offensive number than Tellez with less game played Tellez is the logical choice to be sent down judging by production and performance numbers.
  3. Last year was nothing but a fluke for Tellez he couldn't even come close to number he manage to fluke out that year we are seeing the real Telllez you cannot waste to much time on a 30th round pick at that stage you're nit picking the bottom of the barrel. There's no place for him now that Vladdy is playing first.
  4. Springer cannot get activated soon enough so they can send Rowdy back to AAA he doesn't belong in the big league this year with his struggles at the plate and now in the field. Guerrero Jr is much better defensively at first so let him play, there's plenty other options who can play first that there's no need to insert Tellez in any line up he hadn't produce any results so far this season to merit his spot.
  5. I really don't get this board you've got a highly touted prospect that everybody wanted promoted once here because he had a bit of struggles and some disciplinary self issues at a very young age most were down on him. Now he made some hard sacrifice and realized his own bad habits was a major contributor to his slow previous seasons. now he's becoming the player that most pro scouts were saying he would become. If he keep it up he could very well be the next league MVP. Yet some still doubt him instead they rather rally their hopes on a 30th round power hitter that's been struggling and losing playing time at every chance given.
  6. Guerrero really took the time and effort to transformed himself into the athlete they saw in the minors. His weigh loss and his transition to 1st base is really paying off for the Blue Jays. Thw only drawback is if he keep racking like he is right now it will probably take mega dollars to keep him here. The Blue Jays might be wise to try and lock him up early like the Angels did with Trout.
  7. The next seven games will be a sign if the Jays can compete with the rest of the AL east if they lose the next 2 series they need to bolster their pitching and get Springer back in the line up. This should send Tellez back to AAA for awhile. The bullpen blew it yesterday instead of being in first they're sitting in 4th place now.
  8. The trouble with Tellez is that his path on the team has been blocked by Guerrero playing 1st base that limited his time to DHing where others are hitting way better than he is right now and management has a harder time to justify his playing time with such poor results. Yesterday is proof that the line-up is stronger without Tellez in it as they manage to beat the best team in AL East the Jays could be in first place tonight if the play their cards right. It's hard to improve sitting on the bench sending him down to AAA would the best thing hoping he can turn it around then maybe he could have some value in a trade cause Vladdy will be staying at 1st base for a longtime.
  9. Exactly my point they're aren't sitting vladdy for Tellez when they decide to opt your bat in a the DH position should be a tell a tale sign what confidence management has in your productivity at the plate. You can only beat a deadhorse for solong before you realize that it's time to move on.
  10. Yeah I wish they did but too late the Dodgers are signing him to one year deal you should have more respect for a player that is listed as one of a handful to have hit over 600 HR and is sure first ballot hall of famer. The leadership qualities Pujols could bring to young guys in any organization.
  11. By look of his latest stats Tellez isn't banging much of anything.
  12. Tellez has been a major hole in the lineup this season his production is among the the team worst. It will be no surprise on who is going to be sent down once Springer is activated. Finding him playing time has become more difficult with the opportunity given him without any results.
  13. Albert Pujols and the Los Angeles Dodgers has agreed to one year deal according to multiple sources since the Angles are responsible for most of his 10 millions dollars deal the Dodgers will only have to pay him league minimum. Many have openly criticized the Angles for the shameful handling of a future first ballot HOF player in Pujols now the countdown towards 700 continues. I truly think the Blue Jays should've tried to sign him for his leadership role and mentor for Vladdy.
  14. Should the Blue Lays sign Albert Pujols once he get his outright release from the Angels read an article that the Blue jays are a favored landing spot for Pujols along White Sox, Athletics, and Indians. What better leadership could Jays bring into a clubhouse lacking a true leader than Pujols. What better mentor for Vladdy than the 10 times first base all-star. Plus bring in a truely legimate powerbat from the modern day baseball into the DH spot. This would certainly interesting for the fans watching a future HOFer chasing after his 700 HR. This could be a win win situation for the Blue Jays.
  15. Yesterday the Blue Jays decided to use Joe Panik at first base only his 2nd time playing first in the MLB now the jays have another option for 1st base when Vladdy needs a day off. this position in getting deeper in depth with Gurriel jr.,Biggio and now Panik all capable of playing first base. Looks like it might be quite awhile before you see Tellez up again unless he proves he can constantly hit too make it worth his promotion.
  16. Grichuck walks off another one for the jays I like the line up better now there's no dead spot other than Jansen in it everyone else can put the ball in play good come back yesterday exciting game.
  17. Can't forget Biggigo he wasn't playing yesterday it affect him too and Kirk Charlie say he going to get more playing time also the DH role is not solely to reserve for Tellez or Grichuck it's hard to justify to leave out the team second best producing bat out of a line up no matter the manager. Yesterday was proof that the line up was a lot more spread and depth from 1 thru 9 without Tellez. Charlie likes to give his players opportunities as long as they capitalize on them like Kirk did yesterday now he can reward him with more playing time. Unfortunately Tellez didn't capitalize on his opportunity and he's been optioned to the minors
  18. If the Blue jays were so sure on his bat why did they go get Semien another infielder instead of legit 3rd baseman they knew this would eventually cut into his playing time as a DH. Look what teams are doing today with their DH role mostly designated to a rotational role unless you've got a Nelson Cruz or David Ortiz type player who are premium DH hitters. The Blue Jays still valued Panik and Espinal over Tellez that should tell you something about how management is thinking the line up going into this season.
  19. Just don't get the facination with this guy so he's big and can hit with power big deal you actually have to hit the ball to win games which he hasn't been doing like Donalson said this ain't the the try leagues it's get er done leagues. Plus his path is blocked now with Vlad at first base so DH is his only spot the problem is there's plenty of better bats off the bench than his right now. Some were even predicting Grichuck would sit before Tellez absolutely no chance of that ever happening the Blue Jays aren't blind that's why he was the first guy sent down when Springer got activated they rather keep Panik and Espinal in the line up over him.
  20. This is the thing you need to merit your spot in a line up sorry Tellez didn't earn his this season and the Blue jays seen it too that's why he's back in the minors. Other than DH he's blocked on this team as firstbase isn't his to have anymore. Now his options to the team are that much more limited. I played competitive ball and hockey growing up you had to earn your spot on the teams there's was no freebies. I remember once trying out for baseball with some returning players at the beginning of the tryouts the coach told everyone nobody's spot was guaranteed including returning players. One of the returnees got cut he went to the coaches to argue his case they all told him his fight was on the field during the tryouts not with them they told him he was simply out hustled by younger eager players who wanted on the team.
  21. That'a the trouble he's not doing anything at the plate this season other than Jansen he's the worst producing player on the team he's a one dimensional bench player not good for versatility for a manager.
  22. The Toronto Blue Jays optioned Rowdy Tellez to the alternate training site yesterday as their line up will become more competitive with very limited playing time available. The Blue jays will have to decide what best for the organization as the first base position is no longer a viable option for Tellez anymore with Vlad Guerrero occupying the spot plus with the DH spot being used on rotational bases to give time to the various players when needed.
  23. Like it or not the line up is due to change very soon with the return of Hernandez and Springer we know one thing for sure Grichuck isn't going nowhere he penciled in the outfield. Playing time for Tellez will be difficult to come by with Gurriel and possibly Biggio and Panik sharing 3rd base.
  24. Right now the worst players at the plate for the Blue Jays are Rowdy Tellez and Danny Jansen hands down sorry but these guys are simply not cutting it this season. Right now I rather see anybody other than those 2 coming up to bat as you know very well it going to end whatever little offense the rest happened to managed in the inning.
  25. some people are just facinated with the long ball instead of how to really play baseball but in order to hit the long ball you first have to make contact none of which Tellez is doing right now Just for example the BABIP for both players Tellez 233 Panik 328. Panik has shown that he put the ball in play more often than Tellez right now. Scott Hatteburgh Carlos Pena A's fiasco.
