  1. Call me crazy, but if the Jays and Rays called around and offered Vald and Arozarena to teams for the same return, I have to think 100% of teams are taking Vlad even if they need an outfielder more than a 1B.
  2. I thought he dropped because his K-rate went way up.
  3. Wouldn't using WAR have reduced Ortiz's case for getting to the hall though as a DH (unless I'm misunderstanding your concern)? And he was a first ballot hall of famer. If you want to take issue with Ortiz's hall vote the fact he got in despite obvious steroid links while others haven't is a bigger issue in my mind (note I'm a firm believer a hall without Clemens and Bonds is a mistake). He seemed to get the "I'm nice to media" vote to push him in.
  4. AL Heim (3 points) - Diaz (3 points) - JohnHavok Semien (3 points) - Omar, mphenhef Jung (2 points) - Seager (2 points) - Spanky Garcia (2 points) - Jonn Hays (3 points) - Arozarena (2 points) - JaysAllMighty, bones10 Ohtani (1 point) - NL Murphy (2 points)- Omar Freeman (2 points) - Spanky, bones10 Arraez (3 points) - Arenado (2 points) - Arcia (3 points) - Acuna Jr. (2 points) - JohnHavok, JaysAllMighty, Jonn, mphenhef Carroll (2 point) - Betts (2 points) - Martinez (2 points) -
  5. The vladdy side of the bracket is stacked.
  6. HOME RUN DERBY Picking winner: 5 Points Runner up: 2 Points Robert Jr. - mphenhef Rutschman - Garcia - Arozarena - Betts - Vladdy - JaysAllMighty Alonso - JohnHavok Rodriguez -
  7. I would like to go with Vlad today please
  8. Whit being good to me tonight!
  9. Game 1 - Belt Game 2 - Merrifield
  10. The Jays missed the playoffs in a year where they had the Cy Young winner, and the second and third place in MVP voting, who would have been 1/2 if not for Ohtani.
  11. It's kind of ridiculous the rule has the umpires check their hands after pitching an inning rather than before he throws the inning. In the jays game, it was clear he wiping before getting to the ump. Even without that, a fair amount of the tack is going to end up on the baseballs.
  12. This wouldn't work. Starters not counting bullpen starters are at 440 K already this year.
  13. And if you added Berrios having a 3.60 ERA to that you'd guess we are in first place by a significant margin.
  14. Bench today please
  15. June 15 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points Vladdy - 3 Points - JaysAllMighty Chapman - 3 Points - JaysBlue Jansen - 3 Points Biggio - 5 Points - mphenhef Merrifield - 6 Points Kiermaier - 7 Points Off the bench: 10 Points
  16. I think they showed they were willing to give him a chance at least, but he absolutely butchered things with his statements yesterday and really backed them into a corner. There is a way to handle these things and I think Bass went off script in a very bad way yesterday making the front office look very bad in a delicate situation. He's got no one to blame but himself and I suspect other players would understand that. Hell, I gaurantee there are others in the clubhouse who feel similar to Bass but are smart enough to stay quiet.
  17. Has anyone seen an update on Keirmeier? Is this team TOO attractive with both White and KK?
  18. The narrative of a 400 season will get Arraez a large number of votes. Remember, many of the voters are not advanced.
  19. I bet you that will frame very well
  20. June 8 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - wilko Springer - 2 Points - mphenhef Belt - 2 Points Vladdy - 3 Points - Abomimation Chapman - 3 Points Jays4life69 Kirk - 4 Points - Dylan, JohnHavok Merrifield - 6 Points - jaysblue, Stangstag Kiermaier - 7 Points - JaysAllMighty Espinal - 7 Points - Jonn Off the bench: 10 Points I really wanted to take off the bench tonight but I will play it safer.
  21. Coors does tend to impact batting average more than homeruns.
  22. Reading this thread and it seems like people way undervalue Romano and have this erroneous thought that elite closers never fail. Jordan Romano has a career save percentage that is higher than those of Diaz, Pressley, Bednar, Hader, Clase and Williams. He's only 1.5 % below Mo. Elite closers still fail 10-15% of the time...people need to realize that.
