    Speaking of minor league pitchers... Two Class A pitchers have each been suspended 80 games for violating the minor league drug program. Joel Espinal of the Toronto system and Domingo Jimenez of the Cleveland organization were penalized Friday by the commissioner’s office. Both right-handers tested positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance. Espinal was at Dunedin of the Florida State League and Jimenez was with Lake County of the Midwest League.

    I am asking this in all seriousness. Why dont you consider Romano a SP prospect? What more should he do at his level as a SP? He is averaging 6 innings per start, had a no hitter through 6, and has an era under 2 after 45 plus innings pitched??

    Not sure why everyone favors SRF over Romano so much.. I have heard the deep dive into his K rate vs walk rate etc.. However, the fact of the matter is he is pitching 6 plus innings at his level per game with a very low era and earning (I know wins don't reflect the pitcher) the team wins/giving the team a position to win.. At the end of the day, he is doing what you want from a SP, and consistently...

    I really appreciate these daily updates and enjoy seeing how many position player prospects we have that are doing well. The scary thing is for me, it appears we need more help on the pitching side at the MLB level and I only see Jordan Romano and Sean- Reid Foley as even possible options.. and of course we lost PPED for 80 games... This is vice versa to the AA era when it seemed we had loads of pitching prospects but no positional players...

    The point of my post was that if you do not take into consideration contracts etc, then we do not have the best team available on the field. If Martin had his numbers, even with his game calling and he was making ML minimum and had options, you bet your ass he would be down in AAA and it would be Maile and Jansen. Same concept as Morales.. EDIT: Just checked.. Jansen hitting 311, IF you divide that in half (50%) at the ML level he would be batting .155 Martin is batting .177... below 300 OBP and a 670 OPS, basically the lowest of all stats on the team. EXCEPT for.. Our buddy Kendry Morales..

    Still think they should give Jordan Romero a shot over the Biagini experiment... It was his day to pitch yesterday.... I truly feel this team has better players in the minors then on our MLB roster. If it was really about putting the best talent on the field and not options, contracts, and service time, Morales would be DFAd, VG would be up, as would Romano or Shawn Reid-Foley...Grichuk would be an after thought ad Jansen would be up.. I also think LGJ would do ok if given more playing time in the Show.

    The problem with Delagado, Sundin and EE is none of them were great leaders. I think Stroman apart from all his chest beating is a good leader when he is performing. Hard to be good leader when you are not performing. I think he brings good energy and leadership when pitching well.. We really need him back to normal. I would really rather see Jordan Romano today then Biaginni...

    Failure to execute fnn fundamentals.. Teo hit the ball far enough to advance the runners.. What a horrible useless out.. JD needs to shorten up with 2 strikes, we only needed a base hit or juggle in the IF..

    We could have done that with LGJ.. At least he has seen pitches all night and would be able to do that.. Jesus Fnn, the fundamentals these days of players.. Can't even lay down an fnnn bunt or move the runners over..
