    That article is such a snowflake piece. It is not a 9-5 office job. You have to compete and keep your job. It is not an intern position for high-school kids. Cry me a river. We won more than we have in 20 plus years that year. We can be a daycare and lose 90 games or be results oriented, winners and f*** the prom queen.

    Dude, I think you are letting your distaste for old school and bunting cloud your objectivity. Fundamentals are just as important now as they were in 1955.. The good teams of today’s error do do fundamentals well. Look at Teo cutting in front of the CF, causing the runner to advance into scoring position and it was an error. Doesn't what matter what year it is, that is bad baseball. The guys here heavy into analytics talk about never giving an out away and over time we will score more runs doing it new school vice old school. Not doing the fundamentals on D or on the base-paths/ABs will cost us way more runs one way or another over the course of 162/playoffs.

    I think his point is, and I agree, is that there has been some serious lack of basic fundamentals displayed so far. Regardless if the pitcher got hurt or not, and I am a HUGE Tellez fan, the OP is right. Not only has the lack of fundamentals cost us bases, runs etc, it contributed to an injury and IMO almost two more in near miss OF/IF collisions.

    The TNT announcers are pointing it out, and I agree. " Another ill advised 3 point attempt by Lowry.. Turn over by Lowry... Lowry in the playoffs is not the same as regular season Lowry.. He had a good steal and a few good plays the other night.. Then there are also bonehead plays or failure to execute at key moments in playoff games.. I just dont' trust him in the playoffs against a really good team.

    Seriously, why does Lowry even try to shoot 3s He passes the ball 2 ft on offence, cant hit a 3 to save his life and turns over the ball.. Start playing other teams and he is going to screw us..
