    Ummm.. Borucki in his opportunities he has had a the big league level was the best pitcher on our staff last year... Why not give the guy credit. He also faced the Houston, Yankees, Red Sox, etc fighting for playoff spots... I think Thorton has had one start against the Red Sox but other than that.. Not vaunted offensive teams so far..

    Some mock drafts have him going to the Giants one slot below us at #10. Also, if we didn't sign a pick, not guaranteed at 12 next year. Depends if others teams have issues also. However, yes we would be around there give or take one or two spots. Regardless, I agree, doubt we will be targeting a high-school pitcher this year.

    True. However, many examples and with the Blue Jays, where they didn’t sign and ended up going to College. The comp pick the team got next year was not equal or above the talent level available at previous yrs pick. I would be very careful is what I am saying.

    I understand that. However, many for the right money will forgo their commitment. I am not sure in this case he will from what I was hearing, or it would take boo coo dollars above slot.

    I was at a Memorial Day weekend BBQ/Party yesterday. Matt Allan was pitching against a local high school recently and some friends at the party are familiar with him/know him.. They seem to think he will go to Gainesville... (Gators) He is already a commit. So, seems a risky pick... One mock draft has the Giants picking him..

    I think Davis will be a good piece and just needed some time.... I am also very happy for him! Plus I am biased towards speedy black guys who play CF and can catch the ball.

    Just an observation... To add to our ever constant Sanchez discussion. I am watching on the local network- Rays broadcast. When they were introducing the starting pitchers, the Rays broadcasters were talking about Sanchez.. Basically, a run of the mill pitcher with fastball mid-90s change up etc... The point being, there is zero, perception that Sanchez is or will be cerca 2016... When you listen to the Rogers broadcast, it is like he is still potential ace if not for injuries and he is a top ML pitcher...

    I was at the clinch game AL East 1985 at the Ex. Bleacher creature and some older kids I was with had cigarettes and I tried my first one. (don’t smoke, hate smoking) First win of any significance in Jays history and city went wild. Back then fans still routinely bum rushed the field and the police had a s*** ton of mounted police on horses and in riot gear to control crowds.

    Was watching TNT- How many Jays were at the game? Hope they were taking notes on leadership and professionalism from the GOAT!

    Aceucki for going 6 each game and giving you a QS. Thorton has better chance of going the Sanchez route and creating a debate if he will be better as a late inning guy or SP.

    When I put that I was sooo hoping I would be proven wrong. It was a reverse superstition I have. Pile on all night, I will take it with a huge smile since I am so happy we won!!

    Was a nice feeling while it lasted. No way we win a game 7 in Milwaukee if we can’t even win at home. I was worried everyone was feeling overconfident.
