  1. Batting practice time
  2. Probably. My point is I'd rather not see any of them in the lineup... But if you have to give Saunders or Bautista a day off from the field there might be better options depending on who the starting pitchers going to be.
  3. Exactly, the "ground not lost" is a game we should have easily put between us and those other teams.
  4. Kinda comical isn't it? I wonder if the fans are now outraged about the fact that they got rid of Miller and Chapman... Beltran is kinda defensible cause they have so many young guys knocking on the door, but it seems like they threw in the towel too soon.
  5. Does anyone understand why the Jays are letting Upton Jr play such a significant roll on the roster? I'd rather see Carerra get another shot or have Pompey see some action. Melvin Uptons bat speed is terribly slow. I'd only let him start if there's a starter who tops out in the 92-93 MPH range and not let him face any fireballers in the late innings unless we have a big lead.
  6. Aging sluggers folks...
  7. This is what aging sluggers look like folks. Actually kinda reminiscent of the Yankees earlier this year.
  8. On the bright side, Biagini's looked great. I feel more comfortable with him in a set up role over Grilli or Benoit.
  9. f***ing Gibby better not let him bat in the 9th
  10. He does. I didn't mind getting him as a bench piece, but I never fathomed that they'd use him in such a crucial role. Definitely seems to be a swing and miss from Shapiro (no pun intended)
  11. Uptons bat speeds looked very slow during his tenure here so far
  12. beat him by half a step
  13. Atta boy TULO. He along with Pillar have been 2 of the only guys in the lineup not swinging outta their heels for a home run every at bat.
  14. Should have got Navarro in there. f***ing dumbass gibby
  15. Exactly, that's why that stupid commercial talking about how "history" will be made in October pisses me off so much. It would be pompous and presumptuous EVEN IF the Jays had all but sealed up a playoff spot... But they're not even close to doing that yet. I really bet visiting teams play that commercial in their clubhouse and it's gotta get teams fired up.
  16. Is everyone still assured that this team will for sure make the playoffs? They're ice cold at literally the worst time with a few teams breathing down their necks.
  17. Yeah Bautista, good luck on that 150 million you clown
  18. Donaldsons looking like vintage Rajai Davis against those down and away sliders lately.
  19. Atta boy Travis! Let's hope Severino comes in looking a little flat. We really need the big 3 to come up here and last get the 1 run in.
  20. It's affected me because I've been betting on the team against some seemingly very winnable match-ups and they keep playing like crap and costing me money. The problem is primarily their age. They've just gotten through the dog-days of summer and these aging sluggers have no spark left in their bats. They all look flat and their bats are slow. BJ Uptons been the biggest disaster... Guy hasn't been an upgrade at all. The fact that there's hardly any left handed bats in the lineup is a big problem too. Jays will face all these scrub righties and just get completely ate up. This wouldn't happen if they were lefties.
  21. It's crazy how a 2 run deficit in the 5th seems insurmountable at this point. They just look like an aging, super tired offense.
  22. If the Jays are getting shut-out by Mitchell, I don't see how they'll do anything at all in a playoff/wildcard situation.
  23. Have you seen the commercial? The whole commercials about how the Jays are gonna steam-roll everyone in the playoffs... Only until the end of the commercial does anyone realize that they're selling 2017 season tickets. I initially thought it was just a TV promo hyping the playoffs. Let's face it... The Jays are only 3 games up from falling out of a wild-card spot.
  24. I shouldn't have said "very likely scenario"... What I meant was there's a very real scenario in which they don't make the playoffs. If Boston takes over first place the Jays will have the Orioles and Tigers both right there vying for a wildcard spot, and there's a handful of teams below em who could still plausibly make a run for one... To presume that a playoff spot is already sealed is incredibly presumptuous... Especially given the way the Jays have played lately. Yeah, they out-slugged the Twins, and edged off the O's, but they don't look like they're firing on all cylinders right now. Not a good time to cool off. That commercial just seems wayyyyyyyy outta line. I mean, even if they do grab a wild-card spot... What if they get their ass beat in it? At least just wait till a playoff spot is all but clinched before they air adds like that... Good grief. I wouldn't be surprised if visiting ball-clubs air that commercial in their club-house to get amped up to beat the Jays.
  25. Why even elude to October when there's a very real scenario that they don't even make the post-season?
