    Come on guys. I'm sick and tired of hearing this complainint. I see the Blue Jays routinely getting lots of seemingly obvious calls go in their favor, mostly thanks to Martin... But if you were a casual fan that logged on here you'd think that every close call was going against the Jays or something.

    Yeah, With 2 outs and Luke Maile at the plate... Odds were still grossly in our favor. I also think that we're forgetting that it's Tampa bay... If we can't at least get 1 run against them in 3 innings worth of plate appearances then we're probably a lost cause anyways.

    Guys relax. It was Odorizzi VS Liriano... I'm quite frankly happy that it's tied right now and feel that we have the advantage going forward.

    Bautista's really looking old out there. His bat speeds definitely not what it used to be. Poor dudes played his way right out of a huge contract. He's probably at the age where he's too old to bother signing a 1 year contract in hopes that he can put up a big year too.

    I'm starting to feel like the Jays are playing with fire here. 2 runs for Boston is a piss in the pond. Happs nearing the end of his outing and I don't have much faith in guys like Grilli and Benoit against this lineup. Let's go Jays! We NEED this win!

    I don't think we'll see Martin for awhile, and if we do he's gonna be a liability at the plate. He couldn't even put any weight on his leg. The Navarro signings looking like a godsend right about now.

    I gotta agree. Guys like Grilli and Benoit have exceeded expectations and all, but I still don't feel very comfortable relying on them in big game situations facing top-notch offenses. I say move Biagini to the 8th inning role, he and Osuna are the only guys I feel very comfortable with at the moment.

    Come on man? Seriously? I gotta agree, Texas looks like a completely different team this year. Darvish back... And what a massive boost Lucroy provides to the club. He's one of the best offensive catcher in the game right now as far as I'm concerned. But look, once you reach the playoffs anything can happen. It's all about getting hot at the right time. It looks bleak right now, but if things start clicking for the guys a week before the playoffs than the sky's the limit. It's pretty stupid to actually want the Jays to miss the playoffs

    Bostons got the electricity of youth though, and it's pretty much an 8 inning game if we trail with Kimbrel back in the pen. The Jays are looking pretty flat, and I'm frankly concerned. Part of me expects them to bounce back and be all business VS the Sox, but I fully expected them to be that way VS the Rays and Yanks. I really think some of the big bats are slowing down... Dog days of summer just ended and all and the grind of a long season seems to be taking it's toll on them.

    You're probably right. I think the Jays fare super well in a 1 game playoff situation though. For the sake of foresight, if we assume the Jays would face either the O's or the Tigers in the wildcard game they'd pretty much be money if they could align Sanchez to start. Sanchez matches up ridiculously well against either team and aside from Michael Fulmer, the starters on the other sides don't really worry me too much.

    Absolutely. I have no delusions about what kinda player Zeke is, but at least he's a lefty and has the ability to turn on a heater... I was hoping the best outta Upton and he's fine as a bench piece, but he adds little to the lineup. If you're gonna have him start, make sure it's against a guy who doesn't have a good heater. I know it's easy to hate the Orioles, but Buck Showalter's really great at utilizing his players in situations for success. Hyun Soo Kim can't hit guys with good heat very well, so Showalter only utilizes him in favorable matchups and when he's given the opportunity he's excelled. I suppose it's not really Gibby's fault as he hasn't had many options on the bench as the depths been a problem. Now that we have the call-ups he should be able to utilize the roster a little more effectively and shouldn't have Upton starting against a righty like Mitchell who can hit 96-97 with the heater. It's a pretty ignorant oversight on Gibby's part.
