  1. Lucky to get away with only 1 run scoring there. Still a morale loss to give the run right back. It's Colby Lewis, these guys really need to touch him up... Get some confidence back.
  2. Gibby's gotta cut the cord here. Sanchez isn't fooling anyone... Don't wait till it's a 6-1, 7-1 deficit.
  3. Atta boy, that's where Sanchez has to live.
  4. Sanchez isn't fooling many batters thus far. I hope Gibby doesn't let this one get too out of hand before going to the bullpen. This is a must win in my opinion.
  5. Nice to see the good guys get 1 back right away and work Lewis' pitch count up. Really important that Sanchez has a shutdown inning here.
  6. Getting older for a catcher.
  7. Isn't he on the roster to account for the mop-up man role and to act as SP depth? If you're in a tie game in the 8th at home then theres no reason not to go to one of your set-up men. I get that Floyd had a quick appearance in the 7th but that shouldn't change the strategy.
  8. You really think that it should, but who the hell knows anymore at this point.
  9. I've read a lot of mentions on this message board about Russel Martin and steroids, am I missing something here? Was he ever linked to them in any way? If not what's with all the suspicions?
  10. Floyd shouldn't have been put in in that position... Especially at home. I think you still gotta put your faith in either Cecil or Storen unless they're injured
  11. I thought Floyd was a mop-up man... Now Gibbons has him pitching in a 1-1 game in the 8th at home? Ugh... As a league-wide baseball fan, my favorite team never ceases to surprise me... In a bad way.
  12. Anyone else rather see Martin bat there? I get the splits and know Russ has been awful this season, but at least he's proven that he can be a good hitter. And who knows? Maybe a big clutch pinch-hit is what he needs to break out
  13. Thank you Deshields! How nice of a surprise has Pillar been? I really didn't think much of him when he first came up.
  14. Puzzling isn't it? If the pitch selection fooled you, it's not as if that's a pitch too hard to foul off. Tulo at the moment has no plate discipline at all
  15. I think I dislike Tulowitzki more than Jose Reyes. Tulo's better defensively, but at least you felt like you had a chance at the plate with Reyes up.
  16. Well why else would countless fringe pitchers be able to mow down this potent offense?
  17. Theres something majorly wrong with this team right now. Last year this guy would be easy pickings. Could it be that the really low Bautista/ Encarnacion contract offers are starting to affect the clubhouse morale?
  18. I call him Moldy Thole. Heck JP Arencibia would be better off back in a Jays uniform than this guy.
  19. Watching Josh Thole at the plate makes me angry. Theres gotta be someone with more MLB capability out there who can catch RA.
  20. The Blue Jays approach to AJ Griffin has been downright bad so far. This is the kind of pitcher that the Jays would have teed off of last year. We're starting to get a little too deep into the season to simply write this off as a slow start. I'm not in a full-blown panic mode, but I'm concerned.
  21. That's right! and on each player you could do things like check out their stamina rate and other qualities. Really quite a groundbreaking game. I haven't played it in over 20 years. Almost makes me wanna go buy an NES again and track it down
  22. I don't mean to come across as negative, but I'm honestly not even sure Bautista can get it in to the catcher without bouncing it.
  23. Random observation: Does anyone else find that Sportsnet commercial featuring Jose Bautista rather odd? I know Bautista used to have a pretty strong arm when he was younger but as he's aged it's regressed in a big way. At this point in his career his arm is actually a big liability out there, yet the commercial pump's up how great it is. I'm a big Baustista fan and love his approach at the plate, but to make a commercial about his throwing arm at this stage in his career? Quite bizarre.
