  1. I hope they give Marco the ball on opening day.
  2. So last year he wins and he says "Stroman took to Twitter not long after the ruling was released. He said he was “excited” to win the case and “really enjoyed the process.” He also gave a shout-out to the Jays for “being extremely professional throughout the entire process.” Yet this year he loses and whines like a bitch. I can honestly say Ive had enough of his antics. Wouldnt mind seeing him moved for a couple of elite prospects.
  3. Does anyone have access to tickets I can purchase? Im looking for 2 adults and 2 children. Thankyou
  4. Tough is an understatement. I sold 15 games on stubhub for a total of about $330. Thats $11 per ticket. I made ~$800 selling 20 games on kijiji and facebook. About 30 games went unused and I gave the rest away for free. My seats are between home and first in the 500 level, row 7, so they are pretty good (for 500lvl) So basically I lost about $1800 and the time I put in.
  5. Considering his cost, if his pitching alone turns out to be as good as everyone thinks he is, anything else is a bonus. If his bat isnt good enough, he doesnt DH anymore.
  6. If he is expecting to get alot of ABs why would he go to the National league? He would only get to hit once every 5 days and a couple of times pinch hitting in between. In the American league, he could pitch every 5 days and DH or pinch hit the rest of the time.
  7. They also stole signs against Price, had a homerun given when fan interference was called and that brutal strike-2 call against Revere.
  8. Mets, Phillies, Braves, Marlins. Ugh. It would be nice if it were Cubs again and Pitts. Would like to go to PNC.
  9. and now I must go watch part of that game, thanks!
  10. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/6826-GDT-Wild-Card-Game-Baltimore-vs-Toronto-12-WINS-TO-GO!/page146 Page 146 is the Edwin walk off bomb.
  11. I took that into consideration. Maybe I didnt put enough emphasis on it. You also have to remember those quoted figures are a competitive average. Billy Hamilton had a 3.95 average but a 3.52 fastest time. I think you might be underestimating Hurl considering the fastest man in the history of the planet ran 40 in 3.97 and the average wide receiver at the combine is 4.55.
  12. 40 yards = 120 feet. A quick guess says youd be 4s on a run to 1B.
  13. Yeah, over a 4:1 BB:K ratio and a 244 WRC+ lol. Greatest power hitter ever.
  14. Stanton has already had more ABs (482) than Bonds (476) did during the 73 HR season. As much as Bonds is dis-likeable, its quite remarkable that he managed a homerun every 6.52 ABs, playing half his games at AT&T.
  15. Yeah I was just listening to it lol So many of the callers are calling for Shapiro and Atkins heads. They think its a fantasy or something, lets just up payroll to $300 mill US and acquire studs.
  16. Where are all these people that are making profit from scalping Jays tickets? I look at prices on kijiji and I know how much I end up with after my tickets sell on stubhub. The fact is that only a small % of STH have the seats necessary to turn a profit this year and that assumes they are able to sell ALL their tickets. Miss games here and there and that destroys your profit. With the increase in prices over the past few years combined with the massive amount of tickets available on the secondary market and the fees that sellers must pay out, I highly doubt the average joe is making bank scalping large numbers of jays tickets. In fact Im sure there are a few people who lost their shirts this year.
  17. Who said anything about profit?? Out of 81 games, 79 are priced at or below face value. Did you miss the point where I stated I bought them to support the team. Outside of TD comfort and some sections of the 100 lvl, no one is turning profit. Do you expect people to go to 81 games a year? I went to 30 last year and its alot of work, driving in traffic and sweating your ass off up there.
  18. The problem is I dont even use my seats. I bought them to support the team and to get access to playoff tickets. I was expecting to make most of my money back and not be able to sell only a small percentage of my seats, at which point I would just give them away. I used to sit in the 500 lvl all the time but starting buying off stubhub just before game time and getting 100 lvl infield. Ive been spoiled to the point that I dont enjoy sitting up in the 500s, I would rather spend 2-4x and sit close. It would be hard to give up 524 row 1 though. I suspect those seats will always be in demand.
  19. They are out to lunch. I have good seats (for 500 lvl, 521 row 7) and Ive had trouble moving my tickets. I advertise them on facebook and kijiji yet have only been able to sell about 60% of them. If you factor in my time Ive lost about $2000 on seats that cost me $3000 for a pair. I suspect many 500 lvl season ticket holders have had it worse than me... I mean who the hell is buying sec 515 seats when they can buy 520-528 for under face on the secondary market. I expect them to lose a large percentage of 500 lvl season ticket holders. I dont think there are any corporate STH in the 500 lvl, just regular folk. Combine what happened this season with another increase in prices and I dont know who would want to renew. The only way I would consider renewing is if they offer me 524 row 1-3.
  20. I never got the survey sent out to me.. I doubt I will be renewing next season and I dont think Rogers will raise prices after the season we are having. Ive had to put in a s*** ton of work just to sell 50-60% of my tickets so far (at or below face value) Home games on Saturday should be 4:07, I hope they change it.
  21. I dont think the Yanks would trade Aaron judge straight up for Mike Trout.
  22. The last time he was up vs Baltimore he managed to give up a walk, 4 hits including 3HRs, all while getting 1 out.
  23. I dont agree with this forum overrating Osuna. Despite his struggles in May he has been among the best relief pitchers in Baseball the past 2 months. He has a 1.04 ERA in the post season and can throw 4 pitches. He is also just 22 years old. The issue with JD is his age, he isnt 27 or 28 years old.
  24. The FO has done a pretty good job, do you expect them to work miracles in the 1.5 seasons they have been here? This team is old, it was inevitable they would go down this path eventually. We had a good run, back to back ALCS appearances, a couple of classic ALDS were we kicked the s*** out of the rangers, spanking their two top aces at their own park. The batflip, the walk off, the Donaldson dash, the three or four unforgettable home playoff games (15 ALDS gm5, 15 ALCS gm5, 16 WC gm, 16 ALDS gm3), all in the space of 12 months. A bunch of us in here have season tickets and have spent a shitload of money. Its tough for any team to continually win in any sport, let alone baseball, where only 1/3 of the teams see the post season. The future should be bright for this franchise and I have faith in the FO.
  25. Such a goof. A couple of days after WS game 7 he whined about not being given a big enough role on the team. He got to be part of one of the greatest fairy tale stories in sports, so he should shut his mouth.
