    Re the system, Shapiro used to give subtle digs in the media about how the former FO emptied the farm so there was a need to build it back up. But what has he done in that regard? Nothing!

    The problem is, I believe Shapiro is here to re-do the Rogers Centre which isn’t finished so he’s not going anywhere. And Atkins is Shapiro’s guy so…..

    Interesting because you wonder what Shapiro/Atkins thought the lineup would look like when they made this trade? The Teo trade I sort of get although I’m not sure trading all those home runs are equal to what a reliever provides. And Swanson is iffy.

    Jays are soon to be in last place in the division. The Varsho trade looking really, really bad at this point. We will see by the end of the season but right now it seems to be a decision that should cost Atkins his job!

    Once the NYY get all their players back from the IL, the jays will be in last place in the AL east. Ridicule me all you want like some of you have done but it’s a very very real possibility.

    And here I got ridiculed by a couple posters yesterday for suggesting the Jays could be in last place in the AL East! This team is a f*cking joke!!

    What’s going to be really interesting is to see what the Blue Jays FO does if the Jays are out of playoff contention at the trade deadline. Which I actually think is a possibility!

    Perhaps we are not as great as everyone thought we would be, going into the season. Bullpen sucks, starting pitching is iffy other than Gausman and hitting is lacklustre.
