    Unless the kid came into ST and undoubtedly made the starting job his own, I think this was the the way to go. I'm interested to see what Ceciliani can do as the 4th guy, hoping to see him crack the opening day roster over Lake.

    I have to say I really like how Bautista handled himself in this situation. A respectful "sorry you feel that way" was probably the best way to address this one.

    There's absolutely no "probably" when it comes to Stroman, he's the Opening Day starter.

    It would be cool if they set up a couple cameras at the ST facility and just had a live stream of whatever's going on (YouTube live or other). At this point I'm in enough need of a baseball fix that I would sit down and watch bullpen sessions etc.

    Roughly costs us an extra $3M this year but potentially saves about $6M for 2017? Seems good to me considering he'll still be under control.

    Stroman for sure. Unless this new management team f***s something up, Stro seems like the most likely guy to be a star for this team for a very long time.

    I'm not sure what happened to Yoervis Medina last year, but he'd be a good buy-low depth addition given his strong numbers from the two seasons prior.

    Seems like a good move, hopefully Pompey is ready to play every day. We all are.

    I'm not that worried about the Yankees having a stupid good bullpen because I don't think their team is all that great otherwise.

    Well I guess when you're completely devoid of MLB ready pitching prospects, you need some AAA depth. Hopefully these guys can keep the ball on the ground if they end up seeing any MLB innings due to injuries.

    Yeah I knew that would be a questionable pick, and there probably isn't any justifying having a guy with his numbers on a top prospect list. My thought process was that he's still only 21 and was drafted as a project. Despite currently not being able to hit the broad side of a mountain, I hold onto intrigue for the giant lefty with a deceptive delivery. If he does start to find that command in the next couple of seasons, he shoots up through the system as a lefty reliever.

    This was my list, I had a tough time deciding between some of the younger arms vs lower ceiling older guys as I got towards the bottom.     It's worth a try with this saturated pitching market, but I can't see us being one of his preferred destinations.
