    I'm sitting in the stands at Fenway, it's raining consistently with no gaps in the clouds in sight - good chance of a delay to the game.     I thought he had a genuine chance to make the roster next year as a DH if both Edwin and Jose leave. Guess not.

    He didn't even start despite Harper injury and division already won. 32 games is impressive, hopefully playoffs give you a chance to get to 40

    With the poor free agency class I don't think you can rule it out for a 3 year or less deal. But think you're right about your second point and there's a chance he ends up signing a Ian Desmond type deal when it becomes clear no one would match his own valuation of himself.

    If Jose has a good end to the season (hopefully including a deep playoff run) he'll probably manage to get a 3/75 deal from someone like the Astros.

    It only takes one team to overpay, I think Edwin gets 4/100 with a fifth option year with a buyout. He should have more than one team that will offer 3 or 4 year deals @ $20m per year.
