    The 87 Jays are a bad example and actually weaken your argument. Back then only one team made it through and we had to play that one team to end the season. Neither the Rangers, Stros or Mariners play us again making it impossible for them to run the table against us like Detroit did back then. On top of that they play each other! This is nothing like the 87 scenario.
