Yes, this. Teams will pay for his ceiling. Doesn't matter how 2024 goes at this point. If the Jays don't move him in the off-season can you imagine being in a wild card position next season and the Jays trade him at the deadline and then fall out of contention. More bad press for this org.

Having listened (not to the whole segment) my impression is: The closest he came to taking a shot at the front office was his "failing to pivot" comment. Which is fair given how the season has played out. Secondly, his "unfixable" comment to me was a sort of acceptance of it is what it is relating to the current talent level of the team. He seems to be a realist. -
