    If Happ wins Cy Young you look to trade him in the off-season for a haul. The chances of him ever being this good are extremely unlikely. He really only had that one atrocious start against Tampa I believe. They just pelted him think he gave up 3 or 4 homeruns and went 2 innings.

    If I had to pick someone else for Thole to catch it would be Stroman. Leave Sanchez, Happ, and Estrada alone. Rosters can't expand quick enough. Martin is going to have to be horse in August. I doubt he gets much time off unless its a day game after a night game. They might try to align Dickey to pitch those games as often as they possibly can.

    Sanchez isn't really a max effort guy though. He doesn't need to throw as hard as he can to hit 95-96. It did appear he was trying to over throw in his last start vs Baltimore though. He wasn't practically good in that outing despite the 7 innings and 2 earned runs. I don't want to see Sanchez being used like Osuna though either. That would be the nail in his coffin. Osuna has been used in some bizarre situations this year. And nights we could have really used him hes been unavailable. Lets hope Grilli, Benoit, and Cecil can do an adequate job down the stretch so we don't have to see Osuna with 4 run leads or nightmare situations where he already has to come in with runners on instead of starting a clean inning because Gibbons tried to strech his starter to far.

    Call it whatever you want. Shapiro and Atkins wanted to try something different. I would like to think most players understand this situation gets played out every year. If we are .500 right now nobody is talking about it. As much as a 6 man rotation is annoying. I'd rather he continues to start over going to the pen where Gibbons would be tempted to use him everynight. If Lirano and Dickey give us a chance to win this will work out beautifully. The piggy backing days appear to be over. Sean Reid-Foley isn't being treated with kid gloves. Hes being pushed in starts and despite how fast he comes. Will have built up enough innings to hit the ground running. Knock on wood.

    Nice win. Apprently we set some kind of strikeout record but we won 3 of 4 games so who gives a f***.

    We always seemingly play a bench player short plus we have Thole. I don't care about one less reliever. If worse comes to worse the guy whose projected to start the next game comes into the game and you go to AAA for a spot start. Our best pitchers going less is the real concern. It will only work as well as Dickey and Lirano pitch. If they give us a chance to win more often than not this will end well.

    Well they officially completely changed course. 6-man rotation kind of works out with Estrada's lingering back issues playing a factor as well.

    Jose looks like he's about to get hot. If he goes on one of his crazy hot streaks his s***** season won't look so s***** anymore.

    Jesus Christ who would have thought a year ago Melvin Upton would be hitting higher than Tulo. It still doesn't make any sense. Troy's thumb is probably going to cause him a lot of problems at the plate. He couldn't grip a bat just a couple days ago.

    I don't understand why people don't think we can afford Edwin or Jose. I think its very practical to get one. We just bet 17M on Lirano so we could add depth and talent to our farm system. I think we have some money. Its not like anyone is in line to get a huge raise either. We already have Donaldson signed through next year. And under control for another year after that.

    I like having time to myself. I have always preferred the quiet laid back feel over the city noise. Ofcourse I like to mix both in. But working alone outside in peace is pretty liberating. Its how I relieve stress.

    I don't know why I left Utah out. I would absolutely consider Utah. I didn't know about the hotness of the women. But that would definitely be a plus if true.

    Everyone should just start throwing underhand and will start seeing less injuries. Problem solved.

    Colorado and Northern California would be pretty wonderful. I've never even considered Wyoming.

    There isn't much evidence of this. But his first start against the free swinging Royals might work out pretty well. I like him in certain matchups. However will get thoroughly man handled by teams with dicipline.

    It's probably not a good idea for Sanchez to throw 230 innings this year. It's also probably not a good idea for him throw back to back days and 4-5 times a week. None of this logic is sound. Instead of cruising through 6 or 7 innings. He will now be brought into tight games with runners on and expected to go max effort? As a setup man he will probably see more stressful innings than Osuna. I'm sorry but that makes zero sense. I would like to think they have something better cooked up.

    A little late for that. Besides their is zero chance he can calm this situation. The players feel how they feel. Its not like they don't understand the thought process. It's that they don't believe it to be an 100% exact science.
