I felt Gausman would come in amped up in a game we were winning but this isn't an adrenaline situation.

Did some digging. Varland has just tied Will Warren for the most homeruns given up in a single post season. Will Warren's happend this year as well against the Jays. But he was a starter pitching mop up in Game 2. Varland is our "get out of trouble" reliever.

Varland has gave up 4 Homeruns in the playoffs as a reliever. Gotta be closing in on some kind of record.
