    That "illegal" slide was litterally illegal for the first time last year. It wasn't even that dirty. Bautista had no idea Odor was going to punch him. Texas fans act like he got his ass kicked.

    Pearce hasn't played the field yet. His first appearance is scheduled for the 19th. I think if they had any plans to play Morales at 1B they would have tried it already.

    I mean I would hope so but who knows. They will never like Bautista so as long as he's here they will never like us. Anything could happen. If he gets hit again s*** will hit the fan.

    The Rangers "rivalry" will only become relevant again if we somehow meet them in the playoffs again. The first game will have a buzz but unless something happens it's pretty much squashed. it wouldn't make sense for them to poke the bear again.

    All the current Canadian NBA players are committed to the program. Other things come into play. Our NBA players are very young. Rookies aren't usually permitted to play in international events. Players without a contract can't play. Sometimes contract disputes carry on well into training canl. And Wiggins didn't play because the T-Wolves asked him not to. He also hates the Jay Triano. But Wiggins has already committed to the program. He said numerous times including after the qualifier he wants to play and its important to him. The Assistant GM of Canada Basketball's son is the top prospect in the 2019 class. We are in pretty good shap. Rowan Barrett Jr. has dominated his age group and every event he's played in.

    Columbia needed to play an almost perfect game. Putting them in that situation was a death sentence. So far the road team has won in all the games with this new rule.

    They are some of the worst. Especially when they bring their snobby teenage kids

    He claimed the reason he passed on the WBC in the past is that he wouldn't be effective. He didn't think he would be ready in Spring Training to compete at a high level. So it's quite ironic he thought he could be effective four years into retirement. Canada Baseball didn't beg him. He called them and said he wanted to do it. Same with Gagne. Canada Baseball really f***es up having him start 2 of the 3 games. It goes beyond comprehension.

    Unfortunately this is true. I'm a Blue Jays and Raptors fan but I have never liked the Leafs. It's weird being on both ends of the spectrum. I like to think it's just a collection of idiots who ruins Jays fans reputations. However Raptors fans are the best in the city. Maybe it's because it's an us against the world mentality opposed to Leafs fans thinking they know everything.

    Hopefully being relegated is just what this program needs to make changes and make things happen. If you're a Canadian baseball player you would think you would want to show people your country loves the game. Watching your team get embarrassed on National TV should be a wake up call. Even though Dempster shouldn't have been pitching. Hopefully he can help pave a way for inspiring guys to pitch for their country. This tourney leaves me so empty because we can do so much more. Maybe not in this group but we could have been more competitive.

    I have been to many baseball stadiums and hockey arenas. The worst treatment I got anywhere is wearing a Rangers jersey at the ACC. I was at old Yankee stadium the year it closed decked out in Jays gear. I was actually pretty nervous but people were actually quite nice. A few comments but nothing outrageous. But at the ACC I've had beer thrown at me. I have shoved. Hit not punched but people talking a whack at me. Nothing like that anywhere else.

    I would like to think this rule is only in place to protect pitchers for this tournament. Otherwise it's incredibly dumb.

    That was pretty much the perfect scenario. Stroman pitches great and the States lose.
