    Hopefully we can get to Tanaka early. Latos in this ballpark probably won't go well.

    All I really want is for our backup catcher not be a complete drop off from Martin defensively where he actually hurts us. Whether he can hit or not is kind of irrelevant if we were rostering someone who does litterally nothing like Salty. Not a lot of backup catchers can hit well. We should continue to look for an upgrade but all things considered I would rather role with Maile over a Salty or Navarro.

    Starting to get really intrigued by Jansen especially if the reports about his defence are true.

    It's frustrating. He was great for his 1 inning and clearly laboured through his second. As you mentioned he's typically a one inning pitcher. Gibbons doesn't think much of him clearly. Now he threw over 40 pitches and is getting sent down again.

    Bautista just needs to lay off the breaking ball he gets every 3-2 count. He layed off it in that at-bat but he's been getting himself out on that pitch a lot.

    Barnes needs to be up with the big league team full time. Has been up to 95 MPH this inning. Not bad for a guy doesn't throw hard.
