Honestly probably not. A little more control is nice. But when I think of trading 2 elite prospects I would have preferred more of an ace type with an elite K rate. And would have added even more to land that type if available. I think the price was steep for Berriors not that I don’t like him. Clearly the Jays front office really really likes him.

If Berriors pitches like the value he was traded for I would never “whine” about it again. All I said it’s tough to wrap my head around the value difference. You decided that was me whining. This is a litterally a message board where people share opinions.

No but he’s a far superior player that would have added more value over time. Glaring opening at 3B where Bo could have shifted over.

I would have gave up what we gave up to get Trea Turner alone. Who most would value way higher than Berriors. Must be nice to be the Dodgers. Seemingly unlimited payroll with the abillity to bend teams over in trades on a regular basis.

Still blows my mind that the Jays gave up more to get this guy then the Dodgers did to get Max and Turner. I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to wrap my head around that.

If the Jays want to be competetive this season they need to address both the bench and the pitching staff. Can’t afford to wait until July. All these games we have lost were extremely winnable.

I can put up with Jansen not hitting if he can make all the plays defensively. But 2 throwing errors is just straight up unacceptable.

Everything just seems to go the Rays way. Swinging bunts that advance runners. Balls blocked in the dirt that still advance runners. And Charlie loves to give free base runners. Everything comes up Rays at the end of the day unfortunately.

Its insane how Ray is seemingly a different pitcher. Dude went from walking everybody to walking nobody. Like how.
