I don’t disagree that the play should have been made. You just never see players get errors on plays deflected by other fielders.

The hype for me has died for Pearson. Its hard to believe he will stay healthy enough to be full time starter long term. I think he could settle in as a decent backend option. But he doesn’t get the same swing and miss he did in the minors and has shown nowhere near the command either.
