Far from useless. You don't just toss away relievers who gets the swing and miss he gets. I guarantee you if the Jays DFA'd him an organization like the Rays scoop him up immediately and use him as a weapon.

In Kevin Cash's defense. Pretty much every reliever he has used in his tenure as a manager has been great against the Blue Jays.

And that’s why you upgrade your Outfield defense. If thats Gurriel out there that’s a Double and a run minimum. Maybe more.

It’s irrelevant what was going to happen. Don’t reach your glove into the playing field. Its not hard. If you can afford those seats you can afford an 8 dollar Baseball from the store.
