Its gamesmanship. An out is an out. You’re not trying to help out the other team. You can be nice and friendly when the game is over.
Someone really deserves to be drilled in the ribs because you asked the other team what happened lol.
I completely disagree. You have no reason to leave that base until you know you have to. You check with the umpire before you leave. I was taught that in little league. Its all fair game with your opponent.
Video tribute would be a bit much. I’m sure fans will acknowledge him and give him a hand during his first at-bat but that should be the extent of it. He’s a Mariner now and they gotta game to win. Swanson striking him out late in big situation would be kinda sweet though.
Brandon Barriera development will be interesting to follow. He mentioned on draft night he likes how aggressive the Blue Jays have been with promotions. He noted both Manoah and Tiedemann. He wants to be pushed and quite frankly you push them until they get hit. I don't really like how Minor League starters spend months dominating the same hitters. Just keep pushing them until they get hit.
Jays really need to do a better job of building better Starting depth. They have also traded a lot of it away over the years. They probably should target another starter/swingman at the deadline.
White will be on the roster no doubt its really a question who comes off. Pearson and Pop will both have to pitch well between now and that decision. Bass would have to continue to suck and both of those guys pitching well to be DFA’d.
A lot of people keep saying that. But the Rays beat up on the teams they are suppose to beat. That’s why they are consistently contenders every year. Most teams have slip ups against the bottom feeders. Rays execute them
