Not that I'm the biggest fan of Tim Mayza. He is the only lefty in the pen and don't think he needed to pitch this game. Was kind of a perfect spot for Nate Pearson followed by Jay Jackson.
Belt had a bunch of s*** calls in his earlier at-bats still managed to have a great night. Belt obviously is seeing the ball well and was tired of getting f***ed. I like it.
So Bass claims he think he found something in his Boston outing. And faces 2 batters tonight and strikes them both out. I am intrigued. Wonder if he gets the 8th.
He's now made 11 starts at Double-A has been pretty good. Will probably see him finish this season at Buffalo. Might not be out of the realm of possibility he could make a spot start in Toronto if needed in the right matchup.
Just trying to keep him fresh whenever they can. He will probably play most games at 1B down the stretch. Obviously they had higher hopes for Belt actually hitting.
This one is tough for me because you can't tell me after visiting the Negro League Museum you still don't know exactly how to pronounce it especially as a white guy. He said it with such directness there was no sign of mispronouncing.
Orioles starting pitching is absolute dog s***. If they were smart they would use some of that prospect capital to address that.
Dylan Cease should be at the top of their list.
