  1. They just don’t learn from their mistakes.
  2. I would like to see Whit try to take second here
  3. Oh Jesus Christ Varsho. Should have just pinch hit.
  4. Lol I can’t say I blame you. The frustration is very warranted.
  5. No its not but in a Season where you want a win a world series can justify giving him another 200 AB’s to figure it out.
  6. The top comment on that is we traded our #1 prospect and Gurriel for Bradley Zimmer. And honestly that's kinda been the case lol.
  7. But Varsho is suppose to be the bat of the 2. And Kiermaier is sporting 111 wRC+ to Varsho's 73. That's an absurd difference.
  8. Apparently people want Springer in more of an RBI spot but he hits into a double play every time in that situation lol
  9. At this point I don't care I just want to win lol. I am tired of getting zero production from LF.
  10. I don't believe Varsho is a complete lost cause. I watched him a lot last year. He was a dangerous hitter and you felt he could go deep at any time. But you don't get that feeling at all this year. He got all messed up in Spring and got away from his strengths and after some initial improvement going back to an older approach it has completely snowballed on him now. These issues could probably be addressed in the off-season but we need offense now. And hope they can address this.
  11. I agree they have to do something I just don't think they will send him down. But they need to find someone to play LF the rest of this Season.
  12. I believe the umpire has desecration to tell the player to change whatever they don't like. They don't have to automatically eject them unless they have 100 percent concrete evidence of cheating.
  13. Jason Heyward had a great rookie year. But he seemed like he was paid for what he could do based on that first and third season. He was never consistently very good.
  14. He for sure has options. He just might be over the service time requirement to reject an assignment. He would have to agree to it.
  15. You're really not helping your case at all Varsho
  16. Clearly by the 7-20 record against the AL East and the outstanding record against the rest of Baseball. This really isn’t the case lol.
  17. Varsho’s best asset is Outfield defence. I don’t think putting him behind the plate does anything for us.
  18. Its getting tougher and tougher to justify his spot as an everyday player. He can’t just play because of who he was traded for. He might have to take a seat and clear his head get ready for Defense and Pinch Running roles.
  19. Exactly how I am viewing it. I feel like we should be able to bring guys in from the minors or minor league deals that can fill Bullpen rules. There is also always guys returning from injuries or had a down season and are had for cheap. I don't dislike Yimi in the proper role. I don't like him in that role at $6m. But people here seem to disagree and that's fine.
  20. GDT for anyone who has the LetTheBallFly on ignore https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/11060-GDT-1-3-Toronto-Blue-Jays-Los-Angeles-Dodgers(10-10-ET)
  21. Think we can all agree on this. He had some miserable years with LA and tried to reinvent himself and its been successful this season. Will it be effective long term only time will tell. He has been luckier but he has also made a s*** load of more contact than he has in previous years. The strikeout rate difference is astonishing. He's basically a completely different type of hitter but maintained the Defense and Base running.
  22. I have always lived by the rule that you ride with your best pitcher and live with the result. Nobody in that situation would have questioned Gausman coming back out at 87 pitches. He wasn't dominant that day but he is the best pitcher on the team. And where they were in the lineup and the way he had settled down he was the best option hands down. Pearson was unfortunately awful it could have worked out if he wasn't. But when Gausman still has bullets I would like to see him in the game.
  23. I would be a fan of a Jonathan India pick up. More in there for sure
